Scarlet.

I haven't gotten a message back from her yet, and she's always been the one who calculates the time difference. I wait a minute, which turned into five, which turned into ten. Suddenly, when I thought I'd never hear back from her I see a bubble with three grayish colored dots appear on the screen. With trembling hands I hold the screen and I quickly read the two words, the small sentence she just sent me and it reads:

S: I'm sorry

A: Sorry for what?

S: Sorry for telling Amanda so much about you, not listening to you when you were trying to explain your side to me.. I'm also sorry for ever letting you out of my life. Ariel, you're the crusty old woman to my crusty old man and I love you so much.

After all this I feel reassured once again, and I know Alfonso was right, and it was the right time, we just needed some time to do it. We needed time to clear our thoughts.

A: I love you, you crusty old man.

S: I love you too, my little mermaid.

As she types this I can nearly hear the teasing tone of her voice as she grins at me through her phone screen.

A: I love you more...

It's unbelievable how quickly we click, it's as if we're meant to be best friends... the more I think about that, the more true it seems, it seems as if fate keeps bringing us together and she always seems to know what I need or how to brighten my day. And so I decide to tell her just as my phone pings again.

S: I love you most.

S: It feels as if we never stopped "talking".

S: Quotes because we don't actually like ever call each other because your mom doesn't know...

A: You're right

A: I've missed you so much

A: You always knew how to brighten my day when no one else could

S: Same with you...

S: You know my depression I was starting to get last time we talked...

A: Yeah..?

S: I've been diagnosed with Situational Depression.

A: How'd you find out?

S: I have a therapist now and she diagnosed me with Situational Depression and Anxiety.

A: You have it too?

S: I have it too

A: I wish I could protect you from this

S: And I you

S: I know sometimes it's probably gonna manipulate me to be confused about who I love and hate

S: Just know that it's my depression for I could never really hate you, Merida

A: Nor I you, Gothel

S: I love you so much

A: I love you so much more

S: I love you so much most

A:  We did it!!

S: We did!!

A: I'm so proud of us.

S: You're weird

A: You're weirder

S: You're weirdest

A: You know how I told you about how my family is going to somewhere on the west coast soon, but I didn't know where?

S: Yeah?

A: So

A: I'm coming to California soon... to your city
