Next morning Sofia left for university earlier than Xander would have thought. She asked Antonio to drop her off when Xander was still getting ready. Since all her clothes had been shifted to his room, all she could find was a simple black trousers and a top that was a little uncomfortable for her liking. She put on a pink chiffon shrug and wrapped a scarf around her head loosely.

Now as she ate her sandwich with Veronica giving her strange looks, she couldn't help but get worried about what Salah said. What if there was not anything that she needed to know and he only wanted to create misunderstandings between her and Xander? Great! Now I am having conspiracy thoughts!

"What's the deal with you?" Veronica asked, she was too observing much to Sofia's dismay. Sofia placed her half eaten sandwich on the plate and sighed.

"Oh nothing! Just my ex not leaving me the hell alone and me actually listening to him. Not to forget my husband chasing the woman who hates me and keeping secrets from me. Other than that, nothing's wrong." Sofia made air gestures dramatically explaining her frustrating situation. Veronica gaped at her with her mouth half open as she stopped chewing the sandwich.

"Wow." She breathed and continued chewing. "That's... intense." She chuckled.

"I know..." Sofia whined, digging the heels of her palms in to her eyes. "He's so infuriating. I just wanted to know and he - I don't know how to explain, forget it." She sighed and slumped back in her chair.

"Okay so you mean to say that Xander is talking to the woman - whoever she is - whom you don't like and she reciprocate the feelings and Salah - who is apparently your ex - is not leaving you alone by talking to you and wanting your attention. Am I right?" She asked, thinking deeply about the situation at hand.

"Yes." Sofia threw her hands in the air and sighed. "And he wants me to understand this. I don't know how to stop fighting with Xander all the time. He just drives me over the edge and then expects me to stay calm and listen to him while plastering a smile on my face. He does things without even my consent and in start I didn't mind it but now it's becoming so irritating. I feel like he doesn't trust me."

"Hey stop moping." Veronica grinned at her, "Okay tell me what is it that Salah wants from you then we'll sort everything about Xander." Sofia looked at her with a frown and sighed.

"He said he wants - needs to explain the reason he left. He said it's very important for me to know but I feel like he's lying. I don't even want to know." Sofia scowled to herself.

"Sofia... maybe you should hear him out? Because he seems desperate and it's not even a big deal, I know Xander will understand."

"That's the problem. He said it's something related to Xander and the weird things that have been happening these past few days. I have ignored it Vee but when he puts it like that - I feel scared. He knows about the injury on Xander's head when he wasn't even there. I feel like it's something to do with him and he said Xander shouldn't know about this." Veronica's eyes widened and she gaped at Sofia.

"Sofia you stupid girl." She leaned over the table and hissed, "I knew something was wrong. You remember when we were at the mall? You never told Xander about that did you?" She angrily hissed, "And these two ogres standing there," she motioned towards Sofia's guards who were standing at the entrance of the cafe pretending to be talking but silently keeping an eye on her "Don't you want to get rid of them? Talk to Salah and sort this shit out." She leaned back.

"What could it be Vee, I am so scared. What if-"

"Oh not with the what ifs again," Veronica groaned, "Go talk to Salah, then go to Xander and talk to him like a civilized person. That will help your fighting schedule with him." She rolled her eyes.
