Once again, Artoo has found himself waiting around in the damp environment of Dagobah, and he's not too happy about it. He beeps to himself and turns to look at Yoda's cottage. Where only a warm yellow light escapes the oddly shaped windows to fight the gloom.

Inside, the tip of a walking stick taps hesitantly across the earthen floor of the cottage. The green hand that clutches it, feeble and small finds it hard to move. Yoda has lost much weight, and his manner is frail; his voice, though cheerful, seems much weaker.

"Hmm. That face you make. Look I so old to young eyes?" Yoda mocked the young Luke. His eyes resembled so much of his parents.

Luke sat in a corner of the cramped space and, indeed, his look had been woeful. Caught, he tries to hide it by smiling.

"No... of course not." Luke shrugged if off. Yoda chuckled.
"I do. Heh heh...yes, I do." Yoda pointed his finger, laying into bed, "Sick have I become. When nine hundred years old you reach, look as good you will not, hmm? Soon will I rest. Yes...forever sleep. Earned it, I have."

"Master Yoda, you can't die." Luke begged, Yoda had been the only one who seemed to trust him and his abilities.

"Strong am I with the Force... but not that strong. Nor would I choose to be. Twilight is upon me and soon night must fall. That is the way of things ... the way of the Force." Yoda taught.

"But I need your help." Luke pressed, "I've come back to complete the training. This time, I won't stop until you're satisfied -- "

"No more training do you require." Yoda looked into the young boys heart, as much as he denied it he had his father, "Already know you that which you need."

"Then I am a Jedi." Luke smiled.

"No. Not yet." Yoda, weak as he is, manages to laugh at that. "One thing remains: Majka. You must confront her. Then, only then, a Jedi will you be."

Luke feels his heart strain in conflict. He is silent for a long moment, screwing up his courage.

"Master Yoda..." Luke finally speaks up, he wondered if his father had even been telling the truth. Maybe he wasn't even his father. There was no proof. "is Darth Majka my mother?

"Mmm... rest I need." Yoda hoped dying would come faster, "Yes... rest."

"Yoda, I must know." Luke wished, staring at him with intent. Each moment losing momentum.

Yoda took in a sharp breath to whisper, "Your mother, she is." Luke is distraught. Feeling his conflict swell. "Told you, did she?"

"Yes." Luke shakes. A new look of concern crosses Yoda's face. He closes his eyes again.

"Unexpected this is, and unfortunate.." Yoda admitted. Finding comfort in his bed, Yoda needed to find peace, although upset that after 900 years of continuous prosperity to the galaxy he had to leave when he had failed it.

"Unfortunate that I know the truth?" Luke spat, upset of how that was all anyone kept doing. Yoda opens his eyes again, turns over, and studies the young man. He saw (Y/N)'s presence alive in him, Yoda wondered now had he just listened to her, done anything more differently would the galaxy be different. So often (Y/N) went on a crusade for truth and honesty and gave into the only person who talked back.

"No. Unfortunate that you rushed to face her. That incomplete was your training. That not ready for the burden were you." Yoda said mustering up as much strength that he could, "Fear for you, I do. Fear for you, yes."

A great tension seems to pass out of Yoda, and he sinks on the bed. He wouldn't die in unrest. Luke trembles at the sight of his teacher so weak.

"I'm sorry. I did what I thought I had to." Luke made his excuses.

"I know. But face Majka again you must. Do not be foolish like your father was in letting her go. Sorry will not help." Yoda sunk back into himself. He beckons Luke closer to him. Luke crawls over to sit beside his master. Yoda continues talking, his voice increasingly frail.

"Whatever happens now, remember -- a Jedi's strength flows from the Force." He coughed, "But beware. Anger, fear, aggression. The dark side are they. When you went to Bespin...you had revenge in your heart. Once you start down the dark path, forever will it dominate your destiny." his breath became shallow. Luke leans in close to hear him. "Luke...Luke...Do not...Do not underestimate the powers of the Emperor, or suffer your mother's fate you will. Luke, when gone am I the last of the Jedi will you and your father be."

Yoda begins to falter. He closes his eyes and gathers all his remaining strength for his last words. "Luke, the Force runs strong in your family. Pass on what you have learned, Luke..."

He catches his breath. A shiver runs through the ancient creature, and his body goes limp. Like feels the instant grief, his eyes watering. The one man who always told him the truth was gone.
