"You ready?" Ryan said while taking Kiara's hand all lady like. She just giggled and nodded as Ryan guided her to the dancing room. With Cecil taking the lead, Ryan and Kiara followed.

Some people passed them, and gasped in awe as they saw their Queen, but as soon as the three of them stopped in front of ball rooms doors, Kiara felt more nervous then ever.

As her breaths became shortened, Ryan just squeezed her hand and smiled, trying tires sure her that everything was going to be alright.

When Cecil smiled at her, he was still admiring her beauty tonight.

Kiara couldn't help but let out nervous laugh.

"I just wish ..." her breath was starting to become shaky as tears started to form.

"Hey hey! It's fine, just don't cry. Not tonight." Ryan said while he cupped her face and whipped her years away.

With a sign she continued, " I just wish he was here." She said referring to Leo.

"And that would be nice wouldn't? But remember he hasn't left you, he's in here." Ryan pointed to her heart. "Now c'mon, we have a party to attend." He said flashing a smile.

"Yeah. Yeah we do." Kiara said getting back to her normal self.

Cecil just stood there, watching the two of them. He knew how Ryan felt about Kiara, but Cecil knew that Ryan would never be able to be with Kiara. Just the thought of it saddened Cecil.

As Kiara and Ryan were done talking, Kiara stood ready at the doors of the ball room. On the count of three, Cecil promised to open the doors and announce her arrival.

"One .... Two .... Three!" and he burst open the grand doors with Ryan following next. Kiara waited in the shadows until they called upon her.

"Citizens, Warriors, and our King, I present to you the one that this ball was for, and the one you've always waited to meet, I give to you Queen Kiara!" Cecil yelled as the crowd cheered and chanted her name.

As she stepped out of the shadows that held her back from the thousands of people who awaited her, the cheering grew as they saw her.

Gasps of awe escaped many jealous woman as they saw their queen with her golden dress. As Kiara scanned the crowd, she couldn't help but try to find Thorn. She didn't know why it was so important to her, it just was.

As she searched through all the dark eyes, a pair of eyes with red flickers caught hers. When started to search his face, she noticed that he had a smile on his face, a real smile.

For once ... Kiara thought as she shone a smile of her own.

Thorn was happy to see his soon-to-be-mate all happy. It had been a while since he felt this happiness and it somewhat pleased him but also saddened him that he hadn't felt this sort of happiness in a while. It was a true sort of happiness instead of the one he received when he killed somebody.

As he made his way through the crowd to reach Kiara, he could see what his servants had really done to her. They made her a star, in Thorns eyes. They made sure to play around with the gold, but not to much that it was just perfect.

When he finally reached her, he bowed, then look her in her golden eyes.

"You absolutely stunning, my Queen." He said in his most gentlemen voice.

"Thanks." Kiara replied. She was a bit impressed on how Thorn looked. Even though he was a guy and all he really could wear was a tuxedo, he seemed to pull it off quite nicely. He had a dark blue tie, with a silver pin that seemed to be a coat of arms. As her eyes wandered his suit, he did the same with her mermaid dress. Her curves had fit perfectly in the golden dress, even with her thin build. She was perfect.

"Do care to dance?" Thorn asked reaching a hand out for Kiara to take.

Kiara wished she could say no, she didn't want to share her first dance with Thorn. She wanted nothing to do with him. But she knew she had no choice. She had to. As she placed a fake smile across her face, she put a little giggle and took his hand as he guided her to the centre of the room.

"I-I can't really dance." She whispered in his ear.

"Hmmm," he hummed, " I guess I'll have to teach you then. Step on my feet, I'll show you." He told her.

As he twirled her around, so her back was pressed against his chest, she was able to hear every breath and heart beat from him. When he twirled her back around, she could feel the loose ends of her dress rise, showing her pumps and waxed legs.

When she was facing him, he took her right hand into his left gracefully, as she placed her left hand on his shoulder as he placed his hand on her waist.

They moved to the sway of the music, Kiara didn't even know started playing. With Kiara's feet on top of Thorns, he guided them across the dance floor with all the other guest watching and admiring them.

If they only knew how Kiara really felt about being this close to Thorn.

The two of them danced hand in hand for at least five minutes before the rest of the guest joined in with their partners.

"I know how you really feel." Thorn whispered in Kiara's ear.

"What?" was all she thought of saying.

"You're unhappy. You look like you are the walking dead (A/N: I love that show), could you at least try to act happy as this is the best day of your life?" he hissed.

All Kiara could do was not be able to cry. She knew that she had to try and be happy for the audience, but she also knew that Thorn would never be anything like Leo. As she stared into the eyes of Thorn she couldn't help but dismiss herself.

"I'm leaving. I need a break." She said as she pulled away from him.

She didn't get him. He had too many mood swings. At first she was actually enjoying herself, but right as he whispered in her ear, Kiara crumbled. She was so close to crying she could feel the tears forming.

"Please don't ... please..." she begged hoping she wouldn't cry, not on this day when everyone admired and envied her beauty. She couldn't let her feelings destroy that.

As Kiara kept walking she didn't realized where she was heading until she bumped into someone.

"Hey!" they yelled as she almost knocked them over.

"I'm so sorry!" Kiara through her frantic voice. As she kneeled down to help to stranger, she realized this one look familiar.

"Mikayla?" Kiara asked shocked as she looked into matching golden eyes.

"Kiara -I'm sorry, but----" Mikayla started but never finished as Kiara interrupted her.

"Your eyes ..." Kiara said with a confused and questioned look.

"I can explain!" Mikayla pleaded.

"When Kiara just nodded, she helped up Mikayla and realized they were on a balcony far away from the dance floor.

With a sign, Mikayla glanced up in Kiara's eyes.

"I'm going to help you escape."
