"There's always enough retribution to be dealt." ~Amber Silvia

Victoria's POV

"Son, get some rest, you're shift is tomorrow, you need to save all your energy" I warned my sister, placing a small kiss on her head before grabbing my coat from the sofa, walking towards the front door.

"Yes boss, I'm getting back into bed now, but the minute you need me, I'll be here" she replied, closing the flap of her laptop down before getting off the kitchen counter.

"I know you will be Son, love ya" I sent her a flying kiss before I walked out the door.

Bending down, I shifted, speeding my way towards the palace, I was already getting late.

In record time, I arrived, shifting back before emerging from the bundle of trees towards the back entrance, where I followed my daily procedure and went up to where I was supposed to be.

Mia had opened the door before my hand reached the door to knock, grabbing onto my coat and pulling me inside without a word being said. My mouth opened to protest at her actions, but they sealed back up when I saw her finger pressed to her lips to silence me as she carried out a conversation on the phone she held to her ear.

"Alright babe, I gotta go, I'll call you later yeah?...Alright bye, love you" she finished, ending the call on her phone.

"Fiona?" I guessed, and by the blush on her face, I knew I was right. "I thought you said you were going to bring her over today" I remembered briefly, getting my things out and ready for the day.

"She was supposed to come, but she's ill, so we postponed the plan" Wordlessly, I nodded, pulling out the books we needed for the day.

"Frey?" She suddenly said, her voice making me stop what I was doing to glance at her.

"Yeah"

"Can we cover photography today?" she questioned shyly.

"Yeah, why though? I thought you loved English Literature"

"I do, I do, it's just... well, Fiona loves the play we're currently covering, so I was wondering if-"

"If we can cover photography today and cover English the day Fiona comes over?" I finished for her, to which she nodded. I smiled, agreeing to her conditions.

"That's perfect! Alright now place the camera on the tripod and try with a higher shutter speed, you'll get more light into that picture" I advised, handing the camera back to Mia.

She followed through, attaching the camera to the tripod and peeking her eye into the camera to snap the photograph.

I watched from behind as she skillfully did so, carefully maneuvering every aspect of clicking a photograph. Once she did so, she showed the displayed picture back to me.

"That's perfect! You're a natural!"

"Of course she is, she's my daughter after all" A voice behind me said, startling me. I jumped back slightly, turning around to see a woman in about her mid thirties leaning against the door with a smirk on her face. She held the same blue eyes as Mia and Christian and a shade darker to Mia's hair. Wearing a pair of dress pants, a blouse and black stilettos, she walked inside slowly, approaching us.

Looking back, I realised Mia's eyes had widened at her entry.

"Mum! You're back from Egypt?!" She exclaimed running into her mother's embrace.
