Buford:*Aggressively tying knots as he glares at the back of Zarina's head. He shakes his head, saying under his breath* Stupid bitch. Don't even know how to keep her own crew in check.

Shiloh: *Walks over, and sees Buford being rather aggressive with the ropes* Buford? Are you okay? *Looks from the ropes to Buford's face*

Buford: *His expression softens only a little* Hey, kid; yeah, I'm fine. Just a little peeved.

Shiloh: *Tilts head* Why?

Buford: Just reasons. *Finally looks at the young child* Ya need help with somethin'?

Shiloh: *Shyly shakes head 'no'*

Buford: *Raises eyebrow* Then what's wrong, lad?

Shiloh: You looked like you could use some company, so I wanted to make sure you was okay.

Buford: *Lightly laughs as he ruffles Shiloh's hair* Yer a good kid, but I'm fine.

Shiloh: *Pauses, putting a finger to their bottom lip, before asking* How did you end up on the Midnight Jewel? *Quieter* If you don't mind me asking....

Buford: *Rather shocked* How'd I end up on this ship?!

Shiloh: *Shyly nods*

Buford: *Rubs the back of his neck* Weeellll, not a story I want to be tellin' a young lad, such as yer self.

Shiloh: *Sticks out chest, making a determined expression: frowning/ pouting, with narrowed eyebrows* I can handle it. I'm old enough.

Buford: *Chuckles* I'm sure yer are.

Zarina: *Calls* Shiloh! Can yer come 'ere!

Buford: Looks like the boss lady is calling ya, kiddo; better go 'fore she gets frustrated.

Shiloh: *Pouts, as they go off* Yer gotta tell me later though.

Buford: I'll think about it. *Gaze follows Shiloh, and he frowns when his view lands on Zarina*

Harvey: *Approaches Buford* Is the plan still on? *notices he's looking at Shiloh with a small smile* Or would you rather not, considering the brat is involved?

Buford: *Looks at Harvey* Shiloh's a good kid... Too bad he's too loyal to her. I kinda wish he hadn't snuck aboard or at the least, I had found Shiloh 'fore she did.

Harvey: *Stares at Buford for a couple of seconds, before asking* How did you end up aboard this godforsaken ship, manned by the worst possible choice for a capt'n?

Buford: I was a foolish drunk; wanted for theft and murder, and in need of a job. She didn't ask questions, only what me skills were and if I had experience living out at sea. 'Fore I knew it, I was aboard the ship and escapin' the hangman's noose.
