Jezebel: Next Gen: Skyping

Between 5 and 10, Alexa always insisted keeping in contact with her dad when he was away on cases. She eventually got him to agree on Skyping her when he got the chance. There had been a number of occasions where Jezebel joined - either being away with John or when he was away by himself and missed him -. One time, while her parents were away in Australia for a certain weird case, Alexa insisted on calling them.

"Alexa, it's your bedtime!" Chas folded his arm, trying to get his niece to follow orders for once, "You have to remember your parents are also on a case. They're working."

"But, I wanna call them!" Alexa whined in response; she stomped her feet, "I wanna see mum and daddy!"

The twins watched with amusement over on the couch; they had lost interest in their TV show and wanted to see how their uncle would be able to hold up against their little sister. They smirked, seeing how they knew if their dad didn't last long, they knew Chas wouldn't last long either. They were correct to think that too as not long later Chas was giving the laptop to her.

"Pay up. He gave in within 5 minutes." Maxwell grinned, making a hand gesture to Brendan - who sighed and gave 5 dollars to his twin -.

They both innocently grinned when Chas looked at them with a raised eyebrow.

"Bed; both of you." Chas told them; his arms were folded, as he stood over them.

"Aw," They whined, but obeyed their bear uncle anyway.

Meanwhile, Alexa was setting the laptop up on the dining room table; she was quick in doing so, and then logged on to her skype account, looking for her dad's username (ConMan232). She quickly found it, clicking the call button for her dad. She excitedly waited for him to answer. Chas watched - still with his arms folded - over her shoulder. It didn't take long for John to answer.

"Hey darling..." He smiled; he leaned on a desk with his own laptop in front of him.

Behind him, Jezebel leaned over his shoulder; she smiled as John wrapped an arm around her shoulders, "Hey sweetie."

"Hey daddy! How's Australia? Get to ride any Kangaroos yet? Mummy enjoying it too?" Alexa was quick to start firing questions at him; she excitedly waved, "Me and the boys miss you both! Uncle Chas does too!"

"Woah, sweetheart," John chuckled with a raised eyebrow and a smirk, "It's nice to see you too, but slow down."

"Australia's great; no we didn't get to ride Kangaroos, but we did get a few pictures we'll show you when we get back... Your dad decided to pose with a couple" Jezebel answered, understanding her daughter's fast talking a lot better than John; she giggled, "And yes, I'm enjoying it too."

"Aw, I wanna see them now." Alexa whined, pouting.

"Won't be long, princess." John smiled at her, "Just a couple more days, me and your mum should be home soon."

"Yay, I can't wait!" Alexa cheered.

"Bring back souvenirs!" The twins called from behind Chas - who turned toward them with a glare -; their parents laughed, seeing this.

"We already have some ready for ya's." John answered.

"Hey, are you wearing the jammies I got you for your birthday?" Jezebel grinned.

Alexa opened her dressing gown to reveal the pajama top she had on: a photo of her dad as a bunny with the phrase 'my dad got turned into a bunny and all I got was a lousy t-shirt' underneath; she beamed, "I am!"

"I still don't like those pajamas." John frowned, looking at Jezebel, "Why'd you have to get them for her?"

"Cause you're adorable as a bunny?" Alexa answered for her mum; she smiled, causing her dad to huff.
