Left with no choice but to follow Luna Yngrid's order, I walked inside the room where Levi is only to realize that he was no longer in his bed.

Kumabog sa takot ang dibdib ko. I tried to look around, looking for traces of him. Nang makita ang bukas na bintana ay mahina akong napamura. I ran towards the window and peeked outside. Sa bungad ng kakahuyan ay natanaw ko si Levi na nakaluhod sa lupa at tila nahihirapang tumindig.

"Levi!" I shouted.

Dali-dali akong lumabas ulit ng bahay at nagtungo sa kanya. I rushed towards his side and kneeled. My right hand rested on his back.

"Get inside, Tracy," he said between gritted teeth.

Ang mga mata ay papalit-palit ng kulay mula sa natural na kayumanggi at matingkad na asul. He's struggling within as if he's trying to control his wolf.

"Levi, kailangan mo pang--"

"Just get inside." Tumingin siya sa akin. Ang mga mata ay tila nakikiusap. "Please. I don't want you to fear me."

My heart swelled. Why? Bakit ko siya katatakutan? Ano ang gagawin niya?

He groaned. Maya-maya ay tuluyan niya akong tinabig. Napaupo ako sa tuyong mga dahon habang iika-ika siyang naglakad papasok ng kakahuyan.

We could hear growls coming from a distance. Sinusundan iyon ng iba bang ingay gaya ng tila pagbagsak ng kung ano at pagkaputol ng puno.

Levi took off his shirt. Umihip ang hangin at tumabing sa aking mukha ang ilang hibla ng aking buhok. I tried to tuck my hair behind my ear as I got back on my feet. Ngunit nang balingan kong muli ang pwesto ni Levi ay wala na siya roon.

My heart pounced. "Levi!" I shouted.

Sa huli ay napamura na lamang ako saka na tumakbo papasok ng kakahuyan. I let my instincts lead me. Hindi ko na matanaw ang tahanan ng mga Barrimore. Dumidilim na rin ang lugar dahil masyado nang makakapal ang dahong tumatabing sa sinag ng araw.

I started to regret my stupid decision. Gusto ko na lang bumalik ngunit hindi ko na alam kung saan ang tamang daan.

Akmang tatalikod na ako't susubukang balikan ang dinaanan ko kanina nang matanaw ko sa hindi kalayuan ang isang itim na lobo. Its blue eyes flickered with its lust to tear my flesh apart.

Parang tumigil ang tibok ng aking puso nang maalala ang lobo sa aking panaginip. I felt like I entered my nightmare. Only this time, I could really die.

The wolf growled. Nagsimula itong tumakbo patungo sa aking direksyon. My eyes popped wider as fear started to claw my heart. Napaatras ako gaya ng sa aking madalas na panaginip.

My survival instincts made me turn my back from the wolf and run for my life. Ngunit ilang hakbang pa lamang mula sa kaninang pwesto ko ay tatlong malalaki at pamilyar na lobo na ang tumalon sa akin.

Napahinto ako't tiningnan ang mga ito. The three wolves stood their ground in front of me, their positions seemed like they're guarding me so the black wolf wouldn't manage to get me.

My eyes blinked when I realized who the wolves in front of me are. The one in the middle was Levi, while the two others were his Betas, Hank and Baron.

Levi growled, challenging the black wolf. Nakipagtitigan ako sa itim na lobo, hinihintay ang susunod nitong kilos.

My heart was pounding loudly inside my chest as every second passed by. Para na akong napako sa kinatatayuan ko dahil pakiramdam ko ay kilala ko ang pares ng mga matang nakatitig pabalik sa akin. I couldn't understand why I felt that way. Basta ang alam ko ay parang nakita ko na ang mga matang iyon noon.

The black wolf ran towards the other direction. Hank and Baron chased it while Levi remained guarding me. He seems alert as if he's ready to protect me even if it kills him.

"Alpha Levi!" dinig naming tawag ng isang lalakeng malaki ang pagkakahawig kay Alpha Pierre. He was with a few other men who scattered around as soon as he reached our direction.

The guy slightly bowed his head to me before he showed Levi a robe. Lumunok ako't tumalikod. I heard Levi growled as he shifted back to his human form.

Hinang-hina siya nang makatindig at maisuot ang roba. The guy even had to anchor his arm on his shoulders just so he wouldn't fall on the ground.

Tinulungan ko ang lalake na maibalik si Levi sa bahay ng mga Barrimore. Kinuhanan ko siya ng baso ng tubig at ipinainom iyon sa kanya.

"I'm Kyran," anang lalakeng tumulong sa amin.

"Tracy," sagot ko.

"I know who you are. I hear about you all the time." He sat on the coffee table while Levi was sitting on the couch and catching his breath. "He's not supposed to be in his wolf form until he fully regains his strength. Looks like the enemy didn't want to give him enough time to recover."

"What do you mean?" tanong ko.

Kyran combed his hair towards the back as he rested his elbows on his thighs. Akmang sasagutin niya na ako nang hinawakan ni Levi ang aking kamay saka siya umiling kay Kyran. Tila ayaw payagan si Kyran na sabihin sa akin ang sagot sa tanong ko.

Humugot ng hininga si Kyran. "I'll check on my parents. The Deltas are already surrounding the perimeters. You guys don't have to worry anymore."

Levi gently squeezed my hand after Kyran left. Nang balingan ko siya ay nagpakawala siya ng malalim na hininga.

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to leave you earlier. I have a hard time fighting my wolf's decisions when my human side hasn't fully recovered yet. My wolf sensed the threat so it wanted to kill the wolf before it gets to you but they're tricky," aniya. Tila nagsisisi dahil naiwan ako kaninang mag-isa.

Sandali akong lumunok. "W-What do you mean they're tricky?"

"There were several of them who got inside the territory. My wolf hasn't fully recovered yet for its senses to be that sharp so it didn't sensed that they were scattered around the woods." Muli niyang piniga ang kamay ko. "I'm really sorry."

Bumuntonghininga ako. "It's okay but next time, please don't do that again."

Levi drew in a sharp breath then gently nodded his head. "I won't leave your side again, luv."

Luv . . .

My heart pounced. Dumaloy ang kakaibang init sa aking sistema. Tila ba ganoon kalakas ang epekto niya sa akin para makaramdam ako ng init dahil lang sa simpleng pagtawag na iyon.

Levi pulled me until my body was already trapped between his arms. None of us spoke for a few moments as I let him feel my warmth. He needs this. Our intimacy helps him heal faster.

Hinayaan ko lamang siyang yakapin ako. Maya-maya ay naalala ko ang aking panaginip. I looked up and stared at his handsome face before I finally broke the silence enveloping us.

"Levi, parang nakita ko na 'yong itim na lobo. I have this recurring dream where a black wolf was about to attack me," kwento ko.

His body tensed a bit. Imbes na sagutin ako ay humugot siya ng matalim na hininga saka niya hinagod ng palad ang aking braso.

"Let's talk about your dream once we're back in Astrid," seryoso niyang sabi.

"But--"

"Do you still wish that you're not stuck here with me and instead, is living outside the inner district with your ex?" he asked.

Napakurap ako. "Why?"

Napansin ko ang paglamig ng ekspresyon niya. "Because if you do, then you are not ready to find out what I know about your dream."

I swallowed the pool of saliva in my mouth while I stared at his face. "Do you . . . know who the wolf in my dream was?"

"Kilala ko." Levi's jaw tightened as he shut his eyes. "Kilalang-kilala ko . . ."
