Will was getting worried. Again. No one had seen Nico all day, and he knew for a fact that the boy hadn't been at breakfast or lunch. He'd checked.

Will had already looked at all of Nico's regular hangouts, apart from his cabin. He knew how funny Nico could be about privacy, and barging in was probably not the best idea if he wanted to remain healthy.

But the thought of Nico being holed up in that dark, little cabin all day finally pushed Will past his limits. He figured it wouldn't hurt to peek in and see if his friend was there.

He padded across the green to the cabins, stoping at number thirteen.

Will paused at the door, his hand on the handle. What if Nico wasn't in here either? What if he came back while Will was inside and thought he was snooping!

Then Will heard something. It was faint, barely heard through the door, but there all the same. It sounded like... no, surely not.

With trembling fingers, he opened the door as quietly as he could. Hopefully there wasn't some kind of loud alarm or trap or something. I mean, he'd had yet to see that in a cabin, or at least the door of one. But you never knew with Nico; the kid was full of surprises.

Will slipped inside and shut the door again. Thankfully, Nico was too concentrated to notice him.

Will's eyes flicked around, drinking in the details of the place. It didn't have that dark, gloomy kinda aura that Nico carried around. (Not that it bothered Will, he was glad to have the sarcastic Italian around. Made things much more interesting.) But the room was actually pretty bright. The walls were a deep, soulful red with cream accents. The carpets and beddings were beige, and the furniture a dark brown.

And in the corner was Nico, seated at an ebony paino. He was scribbling something down on what appeared to be sheet music.

"Finally," the ravenette murmured, "the last chord."

He then pushed the page over to make way for two more, trying to get all three situated so he could see them properly. Then, he began to play.

And even more shockingly, sing.

If I could begin to be
Half of what you think of me
I could do about anything
I could even learn how to love

When I see the way you act
Wondering when I'm coming back
I could do about anything
I could even learn how to love
Like you

I always thought I might be bad
Now I'm sure that its true
'cause I think you're so good
And I'm nothing like you

Look at you go
I just adore you
I wish that I knew
What makes you think I'm so special

If I could begin to do
Something that does right by you
I would do about anything
I would even learn how to love

When I see the way you look
Shaken by how long it took
I could do about anything
I could even learn how to love like you

Love me like you

Will decided it was the most beautiful thing he'd ever heard. (And he'd been to a Nine Muses concert up on Olympus, so he'd heard some great stuff, but none of it compared to Nico's song.)

"Will?"

His eyes shot open. He didn't even notice they had closed.

Nico raised an eyebrow. "What are you doing here?"
