I knocked on the front door of the Dun house and Josh let me in. He was covered in paint and his hair was now blue. "Hey." He whispered.

"Hey." I replied and pecked his lips. He smiled.

"I would touch you but I'm covered in wet paint."

"It's okay."

"Here. Let's go to my room. I'll wash off first."

"Can I see what you were working on?"

"It's not done yet. So, no. But you can see my other stuff."

"You're so complicated." I mumbled. He glared at me and I slapped his ass, walking to his room after.

"I would do the same thing to you, but that's rude."

"You're an ass." I muttered and sat on his bed.

"No I'm not. I don't have one."

"You are what you eat."

"I eat pussy. Not ass. There's a difference." He said. I giggled and rolled my eyes, looking around his room. The walls were painted different pictures. He came out of the bathroom, wiping his hands.

"When did you start this?"

"When I was 7." He said.

"Damn."

"I started from the bottom and I've been working my way to the top:"

"But the middle of the ceiling is done."

"It's for my mom."

"It's a galaxy." I muttered.

"There's thousands and thousands are stars in a galaxy. And there's thousands and thousands of women. I don't know which one is my mother." He said and laid on the bed. "Stupid. I know." Shaking my head, I put my hand on his chest and laid on my side.

"Doesn't your dad know?"

"She changed her name and started a new life." I squeezed him and looked up at him. "I don't need her anyways. I just feel bad for my sister."

"It's okay baby. Nothing you can do about it." I said and ran my hands through his hair. He smiled and kissed my forehead.

"You're so beautiful." I blushed and hid my face in his side.

"How's your dad?"

"He yelled at me because I got him something. But he's fine. He's really happy. He cried last night."

"That's good. He deserves to be happy. I mean, he has the best son in the world."

"Yeah. But he might lose his job."

"Why?"

"Cuts."

"Well, the school needs a new receptionist. And so does the hospital my mom works at. Your dad is a really good person. He's a people person and he's good with kids."

"How do you know?"

"My mom was telling me stories about he came to her office a couple times with you because you kept getting rashes on your cute little butt."

"Oh my god." He whispered. I giggled and his dad leaned in the door frame.

"Yeah. I got laid off."

Josh facepalmed and I grabbed his hand. "It's okay. My moms said they would help you whenever. So, find your best suit cause I'm gonna get you a job interview."

"I don't own a suit." He said as I texted my mom. I got up and stood on Josh's bed.

"You know what that means!" Jen yelled, appearing behind him. We made eye contact.

"SHOPPING!" We yelled and I jumped down off the bed. I grabbed one of Josh's coats and put it on.

"I'm not letting you turn this family into a charity case." Derek said.

"Shut up and get your coat on." Jen said and left. I laughed and grabbed my purse and keys.

"Cmon Josh." I said. He changed quickly and grabbed his coat. "And I'm not. I'm being nice. My parents always told me to be nice to everyone."

"That's why Josh is your boyfriend." Derek joked and I laughed.

"Yeah. That's the only reason." I joked.

Josh grabbed my ass and I looked at him. He moved his hand and I pouted. He rolled his eyes and put his arm around my waist. I unlocked my car and we piled in. I drove us to the mall and got out.

"Cmon Josh. I raised your ass better. You open her door." Derek said.

"I'm a strong independent half white, half Mexican woman. Probably other things but..." I said and grabbed my purse. Josh shut the door and grabbed my hand. "Hey, Jen, what are you doing Friday afternoon?" I asked as we walked in.

"Nothing. I never do anything." She laughed and I agreed.

"Meet me in the dance studio after school ends. Okay?"

"Sure?" She questioned.

Josh opened the door for us and we went in. I took the to a suit shop and bought him one. I saw a group of guys getting tuxes for prom and I sighed. Josh put his arm around me and kissed my head. I smiled and blushed.

We walked around the mall and got lunch and some other things. I put my arms around Josh and he laughed. "What are you doing?"

"I don't know." I mumbled and smiled. He stopped.

"Get on my back." I did and kissed his cheek. He smiled and caught up with his family.

"Is that your brother?" Jen asked and pointed across the mall.

"Yes. What is he doing here with a girl? Oh shit!" I took a picture of him and laughed, sending it to him with the caption 'caught'. They were holding hands and everything. "We aren't allowed to date till we're seventeen."

"Why?" I shrugged.

"Probably so we don't get in any messy shit. And plus relationships are a lot of work with school. But since I'm a senior, they don't care."

"I thought you were seventeen?" Jen asked.

"I am. I skipped a year. I turn eighteen in December."

"Damn." She whispered. I played with Josh's hair.

"So, can I come with you on Friday?" Josh asked.

"No. I'm taking your sister out for a girls afternoon." Josh pouted and I kissed his cheek. "It's okay, baby." I mumbled and kissed his cheek again.

"Fine. I guess I'll have to do it Thursday." He muttered.

"Do what?"

"Nothing princess."

"You're lying. But okay."
