Growing out natural hair may be easy for some,and hard for others. Regardless of that, no woman of color wants all of the work they've put into their hair chopped off.

The video above is an instance where a TRIM went absolutely in the wrong direction. When I see videos like this,it further reinforces that I can only trust myself with my hair. In the last 3 years I've only been to a salon once,and I just got my hair colored (with a rinse), and I brought my own products,and I gave the stylist very specific directions. But going farther than that ? I don't know if I could do it. As you all know ,I did my big chop 100% by myself,and my hair ended up just fine.
After watching the video,I would say the moral of the story is be cautious. Especially in a world where natural hair is still breaking barriers and gaining recognition and acceptance,little by little.
