Twenty Three

Caitlin stood in front of her bathroom mirror. It felt like she was looking at someone else as she couldn't truly recognise who was standing in front of her. Going of what she was told, there stood a possible killer or a saviour. The question was who was stronger. It felt like she was hiding behind a curtain and she wanted to see but something kept piulling her back. Shaking off  that feeling, she went to her bedroom. The site was... Something. 

On the walls, mirror, cupboards everywhere she had posted posted notes reminding her of something about her life. If she wanted to know what was happening, then she was to start looking for answers herself. If she wasn't able to remember something from the posted notes that meant that she was still forgetting things. Sitting down, Caitlin looked at all the notes around. How much had her life chnaged.

Looking  at Oliver, Felecity and Diggles name something happened. One moment she was sitting on her bed and then the next she was having flashes of darkness. She couldn't stop this and so she closed her eyes. When she opened them, she was laying on her floor...

"Did you notice, something about Caitlin wasn't right today. She didn't seem to be herself," noticed Barry. 

Iris had brought him home and he was now sitting on their couch while Iris brought him something  to eat. 

"There is a lot going on and she is trying to keep up, especially with her losing her memeory. How do we know what else she has forgotten?" she asked. 

"That's what is also concerning me. I really want to help her but I also want her to stay away from all this. Maybe in doing do we can change her fate as well," replied Barry. 

"Well, that is tomorrow's problem. Today you need to look after yourself." 

Barry nodded and took a bite of his bread and soup. He noticed Iris glancing st him, clearly wanting to say something. 

"Spit it out," he said.

"I... I don't want it to come across as... Well selfish. I know and care about Caitlin as much as you and she is an amazing person and all... But what we also need to keep an eye on one of the main issues at hand. Savitar... We have become so focus on finding Jules and John and whoever, that we are running out of time with, well the so called future where I'll me dead and Killer Frost will be at large. God knows what will happen to the others."

At this, Barry sat there thinking. Finally he spoke, "Iris, you really think that I'm not constantly thinking about this. I'm scared of what Savitar is capable of and what we have seen. I want to be able to protect you and keep everyone safe. I also know that we are running out of time. You are my priority but I can't abandon Caitlin when she needs my help. She has stuck by me, no matter what. She had saved my lives so numerous times that I owe her. Everything I do, is for you as  her. So please don't make me choose," said Barry. 

Iris didn't know how to respond to that. She loved how much he cared for all but deep down she was also running what Juilian had said. Barry had a deep and meaningful connection with Caitlin and Iris was starting to feel and think that there was more to this then anyone realised.

"What, so much has been happening and you guys didn't even think to tell us," yelled Felecity on her the computer screen. "Barry we agreed that if you needed help, we are one call away."

"Calm down there Felecity. I have also heard that you guys have had your own problems to deal with," smiled Barry. 

"A heroes life you," commented Oliver. "But how is she."

"I'm fine. I have lost 3 years of my life and forgotten who my husband was but other than that I'm here and full power ahead to find this mystery metahuman and team," joked Caitlin. She sat down next to Barry. 

"Told you Felecity, we are on it," added Cisco. 

"Also Oliver and Diggle, please if you again get into trouble like that again, I'll be there in a flash to help you," said Barry trying to hide his laugh. 

"Wow, look who got a funny bone," laughed Thea, now joining them. "Hey Barry, looking good as always." 

"Hey Thea, you guys stay save and call. I'll let you know if I need your help," signed off Barry. 

The computer went blank. Cisco turned to Caitlin and Barry with a smile on his face. 

"I know at this point our lives sucks but moments like this, I absolutely love. When two hero teams meet and discuss their problems." 

"Cisco, it amazes me the things that makes you happy," said Caitlin. 

Just then Juilian and Joe walked in. Cisco followed Joe, leaving Barry, Caitlin and Juilan.

"Hey, how are you doing. Something  wasn't right yesterday," whispered Barry.

"I'm fine, you are the one that was hurt so badly. Barry is that normal." 

"Well, I have had bruises now and then."

"I'm seriously saying. Lucky that you heal quickly, which is still a mystery to me but you need help. You need someone out there with you." 

"I know you are worried but I do have Wally and you guys here helping me. Even though you aren't out there with me, you still are doing so much to keep this city safe," answered Barry. 

"I love how you think that, that makes it ok for you to refuse help. I know you don't want me to know who this Savitar is but the way everyone is worried, I think you need all the help you can get." 

Barry placed a hand on her shoulder trying to calm her. He could see that she was starting to get worried and he didn't want her to have another epiosde. 

"I promise, when the time comes and I require help, I will ask," promised Barry. 

Caitlin gave him a smile was  nodded. "You should go check what Joe and Cisco have found. I'll come in a sec to do your vitals and check on your wounds." 

Caitlin watched as Barry left. Now Caitlin and Julian were alone. She turned to him and he could see her nervous. She kept checking back to see if Barry and everyone were gone. 

"What's wrong Caitlin. You sounded worried when you called?"

"It happened," she whispered back.

"What happened?"

"Juilian, I have no clue on earth who those people were. I can't remember who Oliver... Felecity or.... Diggle is it are," she said.
