There's a dull ache,
throbbing in the midst of my chest,
and I don't know what it is,
but it feels like there's a dozen twigs
cramping my chest
and constantly poking holes through my heart.
I feel like I've swallowed a thousand forests
and the birds are punishing me
for taking away their homes.
I'm sorry, it's always my fault, I'm sorry.
