Chapter 4

3rd POV

Sorry I couldn't update yesterday, so this chapter will be longer than usual :)

When they got to Phil's house, Phil's mum was home. "Hello, Phil! Come in the kitchen for a quick second." "OK here I come!"he yelled back. "Do you, um, want to come meet my mum?" Dan nodded, wanting to get it over with rather than meet her on the way out. They went upstairs to see Phil's mum in the kitchen with 2 pans in her hands. She looked over at them and was surprised to see someone else with Phil.

"Mum, this is my new friend Dan. He's new to the school and we have a project together." Dan waved and Phil's mum put the plates down and went over to them. "Hello, Dan! I'm Phil's mum nice to meet you!" She and Dan shook hands and Dan said "Hello, Mrs. Lester" She smiled at him and he awkwardly smiled back. "Well Phil, you and Dan go work on your project. I'll be okay." Phil nodded and gestured for Dan to follow him.

When they got to Phil's room, he gave Dan a tour of it. "This is my T.V., and this is my b- WOAH!!" Phil tripped in a cord and landed on box in the middle of his He groaned in pain and Dan rushed over. "Wow Phil are you o- AHH" In his haste he tripped over the same cord. But he put his arms out in time so when landed, his face was over Phil's and only his arms were supporting him so their legs were tangled. They both blushed bright red and Dan tried to stutter out an apology instead of moving. At this moment, Phil's mum decided to walk in. "Hey, Phil I need your help in th- oh...I'll just leave"

Dan quickly rolled off and Phil got up and went after his mum.

Phil's POV

My face was still bright red when I got to the kitchen to help my mum. When I got there she looked at me very confused and asked "What was that about?" "Well I was giving him a tour of my room and then I tripped on a cord and fell onto a box on my bed. He was coming over to see if I was okay and then he tripped on the same cord. And then you came in." She nodded and said "Well I think Dan is quite cute. Do you like him?" I instantly shook my head. "What? No mum I don't like him! We only met today!" Then I thought of the way his chocolate brown eyes sparkled when he laughed, his perfect dimples. his awkwardly cute attitude...

"Well, I think I might like him...But when you talk to him PLEASE DON'T TELL HIM!" She laughed and held her hands out "OK, ok I won't. Now I need you to go downstairs and bring up those bags by the door?" I nodded and went to go get the bags.

Dan's POV

I was still blushing hard when Phil left. I thought of his amazing blue eyes, his jet black hair, his cute laugh and the way his tongue stuck out when he laughed.. My thoughts were interrupted when I heard them talking 'But Dan, they might be talking about family problems' I thought about it for a second and decided if it was family problems, then I wouldn't say anything about it. I creeped over to the door and thankfully Phil left it open so all I had to do was crouch next to the door.

"I think Dan is quite cute. Do you like him?" I heard his mother say. "What? No mum I don't like him! We only met today!" My heart sank a bit. I wasn't considering me and Phil dating because, like he said, we only met today. But now that he denied it, I was thinking of it more. There was a pause then I heard Phil say "Well I think I might like him... but when you talk to him PLEASE DON'T TELL HIM!" I smiled brightly at this. I felt happier and just sat there, thinking more about the idea of me and Phil dating. I heard footsteps coming up the stairs, so I scrambled to sitting on the bed right as Phil came in.

Phil's POV

I looked at Dan, kinda shyly considering what happened before I went downstairs with my mum. "Do you want to start the project or just get to know each other better? Or we could just play video games." He thought about it and then said "Let's get to know each other a bit better. I know we played 20 questions at Nando's, but I wan to get to actually be your friend." I smiled and sat on the bed across from him.

By the time my mum came up, I learned that we like the same music, video games, and that he had a younger brother named Adrian. My mom came up and offered Dan to stay for dinner but he declined. I walked him to the door and he said "Hey Phil can I have your number before I go?" I gave him my phone to put in his number and he did the same. He left and I changed his contact name from 'Dan' to 'Bear🐾💞' I smiled to myself just thinking of him.

Dan's POV

When I left Phil's house, I changed his contact name from 'Phil' to 'Philly Boy💫💚' I smiled to myself just thinking of him.
