Experiment (Part 2)

I was scared... I don't know what to do.

I heard footsteps coming in closer to me. Revealing a man wearing a lab coat, a lab coat covered in blood.

???: Don't worry little boy. I'm just a friendly doctor who's going to treat those injuries of yours, not to mention, I'll even give you a gift.

"Who are you? And where am I?", I asked while trembling in fear.

Ace: Wait?! I can finally talk?!

???: I'm Doctor Boros, and you're in my...uhm.. What do you call.. Ehmm.. Oh right, Hospital, sort of.

Ace: Am I still in the same hospital? Where's my mom.

Boros grabbed a cigarette, put it in his mouth and lit it up.

Boros: You're mom is home. *grin* I'll take care of you for the mean time.

I feel very uneasy. I questioned myself, "I thought mom will stay beside me, why?".

Boros: I told you before didn't I? Don't worry.

He picked me up and put me in a wheelchair.

I was silent while we were going through the corridor. The place is totally messed up, it looks like it was an abandoned for a very long time.

We went inside an elevator. He pushed the button that says, "BFx".

Ace: What does BFx mean?

Boros: *smoke* Basement floor for important individuals.

I was very curious by what that means. But, the best way to find out is going to that place.

As soon as we came out of the elevator, another person was waiting.

???: Welcome back, Doctor Boros.

Boros: I'm back. Why don't you introduce yourself to our new patient here.

???: I understand.

I feel nervous when she looked directly at me.

???: *smile* Hi, my name is Christie. And you are?

Ace: I'm Ace.

She pat me on the head all of the sudden. And after that, I feel kinda strange. It's like I feel my broken bones going back together.

Ace: What's happening?!

Boros: You feel it, don't you?

I now feel fine, and healthy as ever. I can finally stand and walk. Then, something just came to me.

Ace: I can finally talk when I was finally conscious. And she pat me on the head, then my bones finally healed.

Boros suddenly looked serious.

Boros: *sigh* I guess we should stop the acting and start on the project.

Ace: Wha--

Before I can say anything, Boros knocked me out...

When I woke up, a ray of light is straight at me.. My hands strapped, and the worst of all, I see a pile of corpses next to me..

Boros: Who knew someone can see through our acts. If you're asking how you can talk in the first place, is because, Christie already healed your jaw when you are delivered here.

Ace: So all of that was an act! What do you want from me!?

Boros: Whoa, whoa~ no need to get so angry. You see, we're just a bunch of people who want to change the world, with the help of some ambassadors.

I tried to break free, but it's no use. I was frustrated when he look at me in the eyes with such pity.

Boros: It's no use. You may be a normal outside, but in here you're a guinea pig.

I feel scared... I don't wanna die in such a horrible death.

Boros: You see those corpses over there, am I right?

Ace: You mean the ones you KILLED.

Boros: *laugh* No. They died because they are not compatible on having these.

Boros showed me a crystal shard.

Ace(chibi): A broken glass??

Boros(chibi): IT'S A CRYSTAL SHARD DUMBASS.

I am now full of questions... I don't know what's going on anymore.

Boros: Ok now carrying on, you're probably wondering why such a shard can do this much. *grin* To tell you the truth, this shard is full of power that only a selected few are chosen.

Ace: And how does this shard select...

I asked in curiousness.

Boros: *grin* You will swallow it whole.

I was shocked when he said that.
I mean, he is a madman.

Boros: Hold him.

All of the sudden, another pair of doctors came out of knowhere and they opened my mouth wide open.

I am struggling to force my escape. Normally, everyone who will experience this will eventually struggle to break free.

Boros: Open wide~

I felt the shard inside my throat. I was forced to swallow it.

My body feels like it was dipped in boiling lava.

Fire came out of my mouth, and my body is heating over 100°C.

I think I am about to die... When I suddenly, saw an image of mom hugging me, I... Feel.. Warm..

The heat in my body was gone. And when I opened my eyes, I saw Boro's face, filled with amusement.

Boros: We finally hit the jackpot , after all that.

Ace: What did you do to me...

I am wheezing very deeply, and my chest hurts.

Boros: *grin* It's time for you to meet the other test subjects that were also chosen.
