End of the showdown

Ace was confused on what's going on...

Ace: What is actually going on?!

Shade: My, You don't actually know why you're like this?

Rogue: *Raging continuous*

Ace: What do you mean?

Shade: Your name itself is the clue to the answer that you seek. Now enough chit-chat, just say the word and you'll leave this plane and continue on fighting that bastard.

After 5 minutes... Ace finally made up his mind.

Meanwhile..

Fafnir grabbed the heart. All of the sudden... a huge amount of energy surge appeared behind him.

The source of the energy was in fact, was Ace.

Ace stood up and the symbols on his arms began to appear once again.

Ace: I guess this 50% of his power is enough for me to do my new ability.

Fafnir was enraged once again and dashed over to Ace to give him once again another beating.

Fafnir punched Ace, but Ace blocked it with his palm.

Ace: My turn...

Ace punched Fafnir at his body, but nothing happened.

Fafnir: It's useless!

Ace: Wait for it...

Suddenly Fafnir was blown away.

After that, Fafnir was nowhere to be seen..

Ace noticed Juniper who was lying down in the battlefield and immediately went towards her.

Ace: Master, are you okay?!

Juniper: I guess... I shouldn't left my life support.

Ace: This is beyond recklessness, I'm taking you to a safe plac--

Ace was interupted when Juniper covered his mouth.

Juniper: You can't defeat... Fafnir. In your condition... you will only delay him in his world domination.

Ace: What are you saying..?

Juniper: The only way to kill him... is to destroy the heart..!

Before Ace could even take Juniper to a safer place, Fafnir showed up and threw large debris at Ace.

Ace destroys  the debris that was going straight at him to prevent Juniper from getting hurt too..

Ace suddenly remembered that when Fafnir was blown away, he dropped the heart.

Ace quickly looked around while defending from Fafnir's attacks.

Ace found the heart, and quickly went towards it.

Ace grabbed it and was about to crush it, when suddenly, Fafnir has Juniper as a hostage.

Fafnir: Crush the heart, and your master dies!

Juniper: Don't worry Ace! This was meant to happen, so crush the heart alread--

Fafnir gripped Juniper's neck to prevent her from saying anything.

Fafnir: Your choice boy!

Ace dropped the heart to the ground

Juniper closed her eyes, and prepared for the worst...

Fafnir dropped Juniper and went towards the heart.

But, suddenly, Juniper locked Fafnor in her hands.

Juniper: Do it, ACE!!

Ace punched the heart, finally crushing it.

Fafnir: NO!!!

Fafnir slowly fades away into nothingness.

Fafnir: Curse you!!

Ace: Sayonara, sucker.

Fafnir finally disappeared and the fight was finally over.

Ace went over to Juniper who was already weak.

Ace: I'll take you to the safe place I told earlier.

Juniper: No need... my mission is finally done...

Ace: What are you saying?!

Zaldo: Looks like I came too late... *pant pant*

Ace: What is she talking about, Zaldo?!

Zaldo: She was... the heartkeeper. With the heart gone...

Ace: You don't mean..?!

Zaldo: Sadly, Yes..

Zaldo couldn't bear to look at her.

Juniper: It's alright... and Ace .. Thank you..

Ace and Zaldo was suddenly in tears.

Juniper begans to fade away like what happened to Fafnir.

They did defeated Fafnir, but this one casualty, is truly unacceptable.
