Conclusion of the Past

"Ok. Julie, be a good girl and stay at this base ok?" Said Lily.

"Got it, mom" Julie replied.

I watched my two loved ones talked to each other.

"It's time, Lily" I said.

"Yes" she replied.

We both left the room and headed towards the castle.

Our squad immediately sneak beside the castle. While Lily's squad sneak towards the back.

I looked around and it seems that no enemy was guarding the entrance.

I started to think why no enemy was around patrolling the area.

I ordered my squad to wait for my signal to raid the area.

I head towards the inside of the castle alone.

And just as I figured, no one was around. But still, I didn't let my guard down.

As I reach the throne room. There I saw a huge cannon with marks of some ancient text of some sort.

"That must've been Cole was talking about, the Gear of destruction" I whispered.

I head towards the weapon but eventually I was caught off-guard and was trapped in chains.

"Too bad mr.soldier, but infiltrating this castle alone takes much courage" said an unknown voice.

"Come out, coward!" I yelled.

He obliged and came out of the shadows.

"How rude of you to address me a coward, I have a name you know. The name is, Kenzo L" said the person.

"What are you gonna do with that weapon!" I asked.

"I'm gonna show the world that my group should not be taken lightly!"

He suddenly put a large crystal into the canon's core.

"What is that?" I asked.

"This? This is the holy crystal that was owned by the royal family. And using this as the core is quite interesting, for its power can cause global catastrophe" said Kenzo.

Suddenly, Lily jumped out of knowhere and snatched the crystal out of Kenzo's hands.

"Lily! What are you doing here" I asked.

"Thought that you might need some backup, dear" she replied.

Kenzo was enraged.

"You dare take that crystal away from me! I'll kill you!" Said Kenzo.

His shadow suddenly formed into a real weapon.

He then threw spears straight at Lily. Lily managed to dodge and instead, the chains holding me back was the one that got hit.

I was finally free, and I took out my sword and charged in to fight him.

He blocked me with his weapon.

"Lily, get out of here and take that crystal outside" I said.

"What about you?!" She asked.

"Don't worry, I'll be right there" I answered.

All of the sudden, before she even tried to run outside. Julie was running towards her.

"Julie?! What are you doing here! Get away! It's dangerous here"said Lily.

"But mommy, you forgot your lucky ring" said Julie as she runs closer.

"Chance~" said Kenzo.

"Wha---" I was suddenly punched by Kenzo.

He took out a spear and threw it towards Julie.

"Julie!" I yelled.

Lily used her own body to stop the spear and was hit in her vital part.

"That's not the end~" said Kenzo.

The spear began to move again and it hit Julie in the heart.

"YOU BASTARD!!" I was enraged but I was surrounded by his weapons.

"This what happens when you defy me" Said Kenzo.

Ice suddenly surrounded the floor.

"Shit! I stayed here too long" said Kenzo.

"You really won't stop doing this kind of things, Kenzo" said by an unknown person.

Kenzo retreated.

I quickly head towards my family.

"Lily, Julie, stay with me....don't die you two" I said in despair.

The man looked at the weapon.

"There is still a way to save them, well at least one of them" said the person.

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"That Holy crystal she is holding. It grants every person 1 wish. You can use that wish to save one of them. But, as a rebound, you'll get cursed" Said the person.

"Save... Julie" said Lily.

In the end... I saved Julie, but my wife died. I was holding Julie in my arms. And there, I realized that the dream I had a few days ago, was in fact about my future.

"Well, I gotta go. My friends are waiting for me" said the person.

"Wait!" I said.

The person stopped in his tracks.

"I wanna be strong. I want to follow you people" I said.

He grinned and said, "Welcome to the council".
