(Third Person POV)
Shaw was still out like a light & Luffy & Volpina haven't left his side, Ace too but right now he was outside watching as the clouds go by... thinking of Sabo or Shaw waking up, that would be nice. He then saw Dogura come back from the forest with a freaked out expression
"Dogura? You okay?"
"I-I don't think y-you want to hear this..." that got Ace going
"Now I really want to know. What's going on, Dogura?" he sighed & motioned Ace to go into the hut, where everyone was watching over Shawn. He was still alive but Magra was still worried he might not see through his left eye
"Oh Dogura! What's happening in the Goa Kingdom?" one of the bandits asked, he gulped & shakily answered
"S-Sabo..." that got all of their attention, but what they didn't know was that Shaw's hand flinched "Is dead..." everyone's eyes widened & Shaw's eyes flung open as his right eye had a shrunken pupil
"W-What?!"
"Sabo is... your lying!"
"Its not a lie nor a joke!" suddenly like a flash, Shaw was up & he grabbed Dogura by the collar of his shirt & lifted him off the ground "S-Shawn!"
"Your full of it!" his left arm was limp but his right held Dogura up high "Your full of shit Dogura!"
"N-No I'm not! It happened so sudden, I barely realized what had happened. I doubted my own eyes! I wondered if it was just a dream or an illusion!"
"Who killed him?!"
"It was the world nobles!"
"B-But he should have been back in the Goa Kingdom with our parents!"
"That's right!"
"He should be back with them!"
"We all have places we really don't want to go back to! Do you really think he'd go yo sea... if he were really happy? Do you really think he'd fly a pirate flag & set out on his own?!" Shaw grits his teeth as tears appeared & he slowly let Dogura go as he fell to his knees
"That's not why I'm angry...!"
"Then what is it?!"
"If I have to say it again I will! I wasn't there for him! I'm never there for him! If only I was that one time I bet he wouldn't be dead for fuck sakes!"
"Shaw!" he started crying his eyes out as he slammed his fists into the ground
"I wish I could have been a better brother to him then the one who abandoned him in the past!" he cried out in sorrow & Luffy ran over to him as he cried as well
"I-Its alright Shaw! You are a-a great brother!" Shaw hugged & shakily pulled a smile as Luffy returned the smile. Ace ran out to try & avenge Sabo's death but it was pointless. Dadan dragged him out before chaining him to a tree & leaving him there to calm down, Luffy had fallen asleep while Shaw sat in a corner with his legs to his chest
'I'm a horrible brother...'
(Time Skip)
Shaw slowly woke up & sat up, he thought that happened before was all a nightmare but once he noticed that he couldn't see through his left eye... Shaw sniffed & started tearing up before hearing footsteps, he looks up & saw Dogura & Magra with a letter
"Shawn! Your awake!" he nods
"Yeah, what's that?" they look at each other before handing it to him
"Dear Ace, Luffy & Shawn,
Ace, Luffy & Shawn, I hope you guys weren't hurt in the fire. I'm worried about you three but I believe that you're okay. I'm sorry to say it but when you guys get this letter I'll already be, out on the sea.
Things led to things & I decided to set out to sea before you. My destination will be anywhere but here. I'll become stronger and become a pirate. The four of us have to be the freest pirates ever so then lets meet up again somewhere.
Somewhere on the big open sea, definitely someday. By the way Ace, I wonder which one of us is the older brother. One big brother, two big younger brothers a one little brother. It's weird but our brotherhood is my treasure. Luffy is still a weak crybaby but he is our little brother so you two take good care of him.
P.S - I found this with mum & dad & I don't know what your gonna think about it, Shaw

Shaw was tearing up through the letter but when he got near to the end, he was confused at first until he saw another letter attached to it. It was in a completely different handwriting, the paper looked pretty old
"To whoever reads this,
Please look after my little Shawn for me, please! As a mother I know this is very harsh & mean but, I can't look after my baby. Growing up with a criminal for a mother & father is dangerous for a baby, I'd put his life on the line if I raised him on the vast sea so please... look after my son.

"Wait, what?! Does that mean... I'm adopted?"
"What?!" he handed them the second letter as he stood stiff, he wasn't actually brothers with Sabo...? He grits his teeth & shook his head, don't doesn't mean shit, sure he was awful brother but being related by blood doesn't mean he has to be related to him!
"Shaw... are you--"
"I'm fine..." he shakily got up "Where are the other two?"
(Shawn POV)
"Luffy, you need to get over it." I heard Ace's voice, I slowly walked up the hill or staggered up it, I was still in pain but I was able to manage
"I-I can't!"
"When someone is dead, they are dead. Nothing can bring them back... only a miracle." she stands up & crosses her arms
"Ace.. Shaw," we both look down at him "I-I wanna be stronger, stronger then before... So strong that I can protect anything & anyone! I won't have to lose anyone else ever again! I beg you two! A-Ace, Shaw, please don't die!" Ace bonked his head
"Cut it out! Listen carefully Luffy, we promise that we will never die!"
"Mm," Ace jumped & looked at md "How could we leave someone as brave as you behind? I wouldn't forgive myself." Ace nodded
"Listen Luffy, we will live without any regrets."
"Uh-huh."
"We gotta go out to sea & live as we like! Freer then anyone else."
"Uh-huh." I grin to myself & help Luffy up
"Luffy, Ace! I know I hadn't been there for Sabo... but, I'm going to be there for you." I threw off the bandage that covered my left eye & looked out to sea "I'll protect the both of you until I'm not needed anymore! I'm gonna be by your side every step of the way, but when its my time to leave I'll still be there with you!" they both smiled
"Yeah!"
