Chapter 025: The Devil Fruit Pt.2

(Third Person POV)

Marco was doing what he was told & was scoping out the place, Ace was in his little boat & was sitting in it as he waited for the marines to come over into their ships so he can destroy them with the marines in it

Thatch & Shaw beat up a captain & commadores & took their uniforms while Shaw was able to change both of their appearances so they would look like them. The both of them stared in shock on how many marines were there, counting the rookies as well

"That's a lot of marines, all for a devil fruit." Shaw nodded

"Mm."

"Commadore!" Thatch flinched & stood up straight & saluted them, he was sweating a bit

"Yes!"

"Calm down Commadore Jules, remember, we're the ones getting the fruit & your eating it." Thatch slowly nodded

"Of course of course!" just as they were going to walk away, they stopped & turned around, that made him sweat more

"... calm down..."

"Your always so forgetful Jules." Thatch was still doing the salute, but was doing it with his right arm, so the guy switched it around "Its left, not right."

"R-Right, got it!" & they walked away, Shaw looked at Thatch & shook his head "W-What?! I panicked!"

"That was horrible. I'm definitly telling the others." was all he said as he walked away with Thatch running after

"Don't do that!!" time rolls by & they were finally revealing the devil fruit, it was green with swirls all over it & it had a swirly purple steam, Shaw looked at it weirdly "You feel it to Shaw?"

"Huh?"

"That's not the fruit we're looking for, that's a fake. I don't know how they did it but I know that's not a real devil fruit." Shaw nodded in agreement

"Lets go find the real one." Thatch nods & the duo swiftly leave the place, as the two search the place for the place for the real devil fruit they bumped into a few of the civilians who were working under the marines

They told Shaw about how the devil fruit on display was indeed a fake, the people who were selling it made it like the real one so they can get paid big bucks!

"Do you think you know where it is?" it took him awhile to process that sentence but he nodded & pointed in the direction where the real devil fruit was "Thank you!"

"I'm still amazed that you can understand all these different languages!"

"Yeah when I was younger I had to, I enjoyed it until the Governmemt said we couldn't anymore. I was still able to get my hands on a few of the books though."

"You should teach me so I can flirt with women in a different language!"

"Sure, I'll teach you spanish for that!" it didn't take long for them to reach where the fruit was so Shaw swung open the door & there it was. It was exactly the same as the fake one but opposite colors, it was purple with swirls & the steam was green

"Jackpot!" just as Thatch steps into the room, marine guards came out of nowhere

"Hey! What are you doing here?!" they soon notice the door was open "Boss! They seem to have noticed that the one on display is fake!"

"Dammit! Fire when ready!"

"What now Shaw?" he chuckled

"We break character, Commadore!" Shaw snapped his fingers & they both were back to normal "Get the fruit & tell the other two to get ready on my signal!"

"On it!" Thatch ran in & pulled out a transponder snail while Shaw pulled his guns out

"Its showtime!"

*buru buru buru*

*clank*

"What is it Thatch-yoi?"

"Yeah what is it? I was just about to fall asleep until you woke me up!"

"We got caught by the guys who tried to dupe us so Shaw is fighting them off while I'm getting the fruit."

"Okay!"

"He also said get ready on his signal!"

"Ready whenever he is!"

*ca-cha!*

Thatch looked over at Shaw & saw that he was easily kicking their asses, he look at the fruit again & took it. He put it in his pockets before grabbing a sword & slicing a marine before he could get Shaw

"Thanks!"

"Glad I could help."

"Got the fruit?" Thatch smirked as he pulled it out & tossed it up once "Nice! Now stand back, Betsu no Dangan: Red Bullet!" where the auction was going on, they finally sold the fake devil fruit, they were about leave until half of the marines were blown back by a huge fire ball

"What the hell was that?!" they screamed, through the wall came Shaw & Thatch, with him tossing the fruit in the air

"Looking for this?"

"Another devil fruit?! Unless... they tricked us!" the man yelled at the sellers, who were shuffling away. Some of the rookies ran off so Shaw pointed his gun at them, making them come to a halt

"Betsu no Dangan...:" they froze in fear but noticed he pointed his arm up "Hell Fire Bullet!" he pulled the trigger & a huge pillar of fire burst from it, Marco had taken out a few marines & went back to flying but once he saw the fire below him, he had this instintion to move so he did & it almost set him ablaze

"I guess that's the signal..." he said as he sweat dropped

"Hiken!" a few of the marine rookies got onto the ships & Ace had destroyed them, that was until he saw the pillar of fire "So cool! He's gotta teach me how to do that!" he cheered as he raced over to the place, after destroying the last of the ships that is

"Shaw, we got the fruit so lets ditch!" he nodded & as the two run out, Ace came by & burned the entire place to the ground as Marco flew by & grabbed the duo

"Took you long enough-yoi!" he yelled as he flew beside Ace

"Well I'm sorry you burning inferno, we got caught up in things so shut up!"

"We got the fruit though." Shaw said, Thatch showed it to them & Marco actually looked impressed

"Nice work!"

"I wonder what type of fruit it is, like Paramecia or a Logia!"

"Don't forget Zoan!"
