Chapter 053: Three Little Birds

(I know those birds look like those birds from Pokemon but, look at them! They look so cute!)

(Shawn POV)

"Mama bird~" I glare at Valor before laughing sarcastically, I've been looking after the eggs by stealing Valor's hat & making it into a nest. I carry it 24/7 or I watch then until they hatch

"Ah hahaha, very funny. Why don't you go bug Will or something?" I said to him as I hug the hat closely to me

"Bugging you is more funny!" I raise an eyebrow & felt razor sharp crystals shoot out of my back, he sweat dropped "But, maybe not now."

"Ya think?" he shuffled away & I sighed, I turned a lamp on & set the hat underneath it. It wasn't to close to the light but it wasn't to far either "Come on, hatch soon." I lay my head in my arms before taking a nap, I didn't know how long but I felt something warm press against my arm

I open my eyes & my eyes widened at the sight, right in front of me was a little baby bird with red feathers & what seemed like fire coming from the tip of its feathers & head. I look back at the hat & saw a blue one & beside that one was a yellow one

I gently scoop up the red one & it pressed itself against my thumb, I pick up the other two & they cuddle into my hand. I aw, they looked so adorable so I press my cheek & snuggle into them

"You guys are so cute~ you remind me of my brothers." the blue one seemed to have sneezed out little snowflakes & when the yellow one bit me, I was electrocuted. It didn't sting but it made me laugh "So irresistible."

"You sound like a mother~" I jump, it was Valor... again

"Oh piss off would ya, & besides... I was told I act like a father." Valor laughed but as soon as Will walked in he was punched in the shoulder

"Ow... why Willy?" he said with a pout

"Y-You act like a child."

"Hmph." he rolled his eyes & they landed on the birds, he slowly approached them & wave

"Heya, they look so a-adorable." Will said as he slowly petted the blue "This ones cold."

"Mm, the red one is hot while yellow here is electrical."

"What are you gonna name them?" before I could answer, Valor pointed at each of them & called out a name

"Spark (yellow)! Frost (blue)! Torch (red)!" I give him a look

"Those names are terr--" I was cut off when they were chirping happily, he smirked at me "I stand corrected, but when they grow mature & start hating the names, I'll tell them to attack you."

"Mean!"

(A Few Weeks Time Skip)

"Okay my babies its time to fly!!" I cheer as I spread my wings, I look at them & they were a little scared. Ever since they hatched they were stuck to me like glue, they were either in the hat, in my hands or on my shoulders

Currently I was going to teach them how to fly, I wasn't going to be that mean & throw them off a cliff. For testing, I made them jump off a little box & if they fell, they would fall into my hands. The farthest any of them went was Frost, maybe a few centimeters but yeah... t-that's something

"Okay, we're taking this to a new level. Flying off a tree." I look down into my hands & see them gulp "Oh come on, do you wanna make papa proud." they look at each other before nodding "Then let's do this."

I place all three on the tree & smile at them, they knew I was going to catch them so they were most likely aiming for my hand

"You can do it Spark! See if you can beat your brother Frost!" that seemed to have got them going, I noticed that they had competitive looks in their eyes "Okay this isn't a competition guys!"

The first one to jump off the tree branch was Spark, I was in a panic when he fell but he was able to catch himself by flapping his wings & was flying. He flew over to me & chirped happily as he pressed himself onto my cheek

I noticed the other two pouted so Torch jumped off next & instantly he was flying, he did the same as Spark as he pressed himself against my cheek before setting himself on my head beside Spark

"Oh come on Frost, you can do this! Make papa proud!" he took a deep breath before spreading his wings & flying down, I was in a panic again cause now he was free falling! Just as I went to grab him though, he started flying "You guys did it! Well done!"

I spread my wings & flew off with them following behind, I was going a little slow but they easily caught up. I grab all three & bring them into a hug, they happily chirp as they caress themselves against me

I flew back to the base where Valor & the others were & saw that he was teasing Will again, I roll my eyes & clear my throat

"I'm sorry to ruin your playful flirting but--"

"Flirting?!" Valor yelled while Will hid his face in his hands "I'm not flirting with him Shawn!"

"Well stop acting like that." once Will looked up the three chicks instantly were caressing his cheeks as they flew & chirped in his ear

"They're flying!" he cheered

"Yeah, taught them a couple hours ago. The rest of the time we were flying around the island. Oh & Valor!"

"Yeah?"

"Why do I have a weird craving for crystals?"

"Eh?"

"What do you mean?"

"I don't know, I suddenly want to set them!" Valor had stuck, what seemed like a calcite, in my face. I sniffed it a few times before biting into it, & was actually eating it

"Okay... there seems to be side effects!" he mumbled "I guess by putting to much liquefied crystals into your body might've given you a hunger for gems/crystals? Maybe it gives you extra power?"

"That sounded more like a question then an answer." I said, Spark, Torch & Frost nodded in agreement

"Well I'm sorry!"

"Uh S-Shaw-san, how's the leg doing you?" I look down at it & pull a thumbs up

"Great! Thanks for asking, & thanks for giving me the ability to walk again." I cheer & instantly felt crystals form from out of my face

"Your welcome!"

"Hey! Where's my thanks?! I practically brought you back from the dead!"

"Without my permission!" he then gave me a look, I sigh "Fine, thanks..." he smirked

"Your--"

"... for being a pain in the ass!"

"Why?!"
