(Shawn POV)
Its been awhile since that weird encounter with those wizards, I am still confused with them but at least I got new powers over it. Sure I already have the ability to manipulate fire, but Natsu's power is pretty powerful
Volpina was on my chest in her fox form as I chatted with Koala through a transponder snail. She was telling me how she was currently on a mission with her partners Hack & the chief of second in command
"What's his name? You haven't told me his name yet."
"Oh, its Sa--"
"Koala! We need you right now, whoever your talking too can wait!"
"I guess I'll tell you some other time Shaw-kun, hopefully it'll be when we meet face to face again!"
"Yeah!"
"Now would be great Koala!"
"I'm coming! See ya later, Shaw-kun!"
*Ca-cha*
I sigh happily to myself & felt Volpina groan, I roll my eyes before chuckling. I stood up & felt her slide into my arms, I set her around my neck as she slept peacefully
"Now, where are we off too?" I mutter to myself, I look at my wrist & saw the two log poses, one that had just one & the other that had three, obviously that one was for the New World. I sigh to myself & stretch my back until I heard a click, I roll my shoulders softly before walking off with my shoulders in my pockets
I walk onto the beach but shuffled behind a tree when I noticed a couple pirates, I peek my head over the corner & saw a familiar hairstyle
"Hey Marco! You said you've meet Shaw, right?"
"Yeah, why?"
"When was this?"
"Hmm, if I'm completely accurate, it was 2 years ago when he was 19-yoi."
"He's right, he'd talk about you & your brother Luffy a lot too!" I chuckle, I followed them a bit & heard them talk about me, that was until I heard Thatch mention something that made Ace blush
"I am NOT a tsundere!"
"Well you sure act like-yoi!" they laugh & I lightly laugh, I saw the Moby Dick in the distance so I grabbed Volpina & held her in my arms before flying off to the ship
"Uh wha... what's going on?"
"It seems like we might be paying a visit with the Whitebeard pirates." she raised an eyebrow "& Ace is there as well!"
"Splendid..." I landed on the railing of the ship & set her on my shoulders again, I walk across it before jumping on the ground & walking deck. There was my father drinking sake on his throne like chair, I trotted over to him & leaned against his chair
"So, I heard "Fire Fist" Ace became your Second in Command, how does that feel?" he shrugged with a grin appearing
"He was a bit of a nuisance when he first arrived but, he finally warmed up to us after trying to kill me 100 times!" he started howling in laughter as tick marks appeared on my forehead
"He tried to do what?" I said through gritted teeth "That boy!" Whitebeard looked down & stared at me for awhile before realizing who he was talking to, but he wasn't fast enough when someone else called my name
"Shaw!" I look over & was developed in a hug by Ace, Volpina woke up & jumped off onto Thatch's shoulder as Ace hugged me "I've missed you Shaw!"
"I could say the same thing even though you tried to kill Whitebeard 100 times. Him & I go way back kid."
"Ah... I can explain."
"After you feel my fists of fury!" before I could pound him into the ground, Whitebeard put his hand on my shoulder & gave me a look to calm down, I do "Sorry."
"No no Shaw! You shouldn't be mad at your brother, he was to weak to handle me!" I look over at Ace & saw that he sweat dropped "Like I said, over 100 times I hit him over the ship into the water!"
"Into the water?! He's my brother & you think that's gonna calm me down?"
"Maybe not." I roll my eyes
(Time Skip)
"Shaw! Shaw!" I stop what I was doing & look over & saw Ace running towards me "I wanna ask you something."
"Hmm? Sure, what is it?" I ask as I turn around fully to face him "Go ahead, I'm all ears."
"Are you pop's son?" my blood went cold "You two are so close, almost like father like son. You know what I mean? Plus, its just a theory." he looks over at me & saw that I had my hat covering my eyes "U-Uh... Shaw? You o-okay...?"
"Promise me... to keep this between us, & only us, okay?" he slowly nodded his head "You already know that I'm not Sabo's biological brother, right? & that my name is Clarity D. Shawn, right?" he nodded his head "My full name is Clarity D. Newgate Shawn, Whitebeard is my father by blood." he went silent, before screaming
"Huh?!?!? Pop's is your--" I cover his mouth & glare at him
"Remember, this is only between the two of us, not even the crew know about it!" he slowly nods again "You cannot tell any of them about this, Whitebeard & I agreed that we'd tell them when it is absolutely necessary...! I-I trust you Ace, that you won't tell them no matter what!"
"You really... trust me that much?" I tilt my head to the side
"Of course I do! We're brothers after all, even if you did try to kill my father over 100 times!" I notice him sweat drop, suddenly his mood changed & he turned serious
"If you trust me this much, then I trust you to keep this secret between us." soon his face turned bright red "P-Pinky promise you won't t-tell anyone!" he said as he held out his pinky, I slowly started laughing & he grew even brighter "Come on Shaw! J-Just do this for me!"
"Okay okay! I can't believe your actually asking for that kind of promise, we haven't done that ever since we were kids (I'll do a flashback on that in a future chapter)." I held my pinky out & we intertwined our pinkies "Now tell me this big secret, Ace." he's expression grew darker
"... my father, Sabo never told you who he was, did he? I'm surprised Luffy didn't use he's big mouth of his to yell it at you!" I suddenly notice that he chocked back a cry "Gol D. Roger, former King of the Pirates... is my father." my eyes widened the slightest bit
"Ace..."
"I was called a monster, a demon! Just for being born, I hated my life...! I hated my father, I have his blood, running through my veins, Shaw!" I saw him grip his arms "I use to ask this to myself all the time 'Was is good that I was born'? I ask that to gramps, his answer was that I would find out in the future..."
"Ace."
"Shaw... was it good that I was born?" I pull him into a hug after I lightly smacked his head
"Of course it was you idiot!! If you ever asked that question again, to Luffy & me this time, we would be listing down reasons on how much we love & care about you! I don't care if his blood runs through your veins, all I care about is that I have a little brother that needs a lot of my love & support! Plus... Luffy, Dadan, the bandits, Makino, Whitebeard & the crew & hell...! Even granddad & I love you!! Don't you ever fucking doubt that, Ace!" I noticed that he started tearing up before hugging me back
"T-Thank you... Shaw! I knew I could tell you a-anything!!" he cried as he tightened his grip around me
'This makes it offical... I will do absolutely anything to keep Ace out of harms way...! Even if it costs me my life...'
