(you know what? A comment on my last two chapters just gave me one hell of an idea so this chapter goes out to them!)
(Third Person POV)
The younger two stare in shock as Shaw coughed out blood in front of them, Whitebeard looked over & his eyed widened at the scene before him. Everyone looked back at Shaw & they cried out his name, Akainu's fist slid out of his stomach/chest & he had trouble keeping balance
... cause of his one leg
The two didn't notice until he fell to his left side, Luffy ran over & caught him before he could land on the ground. Shaw looked was so beaten up with the bloody slash on his chest & the hole, blood running his forehead & nose... he looked horrible
"Shaw..." Luffy mumbled, Ace was on his knees as he glared up at Akainu
"You... fucking bastard!" he was going to beat the shit out of Akainu but felt something grab his ankle, he glared down at it but his gaze softened when he saw it was Shaw
"... d-don't..." he managed to say before coughing out blood, Ace panicked & went down & held onto Shaw's now weak & cold hand "Hey... where's the, hat I got you?"
"Does that matter?!"
"Yeah, I paid... good money f-for that hat." he slowly pulled something out of his pocket & set it on Ace's head, he snapped his fingers & it was his hat "Your lucky I-I found that damn thing...!"
"Shaw...!" he tiredly looked at Luffy "Y-Your... your dying right now, aren't you?!"
"Huh? I guess I am, I d-didn't think this is how I'd go out..."
"Why are you taking this as a joke, Shaw?! You dying & your missing a bloody leg!! How the hell did that happen?!" he looked down & his missing limb
"Oh...-- I forgot about that! Don't... worry a-about it!" he coughed again & that made the duo flinch, Volpina & the dragon fazed from their original selves again until they turned back to themselves. She landed on the ground with a thud & looked up, her eyes widened as she was about to be crushed by the warship
"Oh Jesus Christ!" she shuffled away before jumping away & the warship smashed threw the ice, her gaze went from that to Shaw & her eyes widened as her ears went flat "Oh no... Boss-sama!"
"I-I'm, unbearably cold... r-right now. Its horrible."
"Shut up, Shaw." Luffy murmured, he chuckled lightly
"I... only have a few regrets, 1) I d-didn't get to see you, Luffy... fulfil y-your dream 2) I didn't get... to marry the g-girl I fell in love with...!"
"You fell in love?" Luffy asked
"T-That's incredible." the three laugh together sadly
"Yeah... her n-name's Koala. I know you'll like her t-too. She's a Revolutionary... so i-if you ever meet her, tell her I'm s-sorry & that I love her!"
"... o-okay, we promise!" Luffy yelled, he clenched his fist before weakly lifting his pinky up
"P-Pinky promise me...!"
(Flashback)
"Pinky promise? That sounds dumb!" a 10 year old, stubborn Ace muttered as he looked away with his arms crossed, Shaw huffed as he held his pinky out
"Oh come on Ace, stop being so difficult & do this with us. I use to do this with, him, & Luffy when I'd go out to sea for a couple months."
