Adisa started to be able to stay conscious for longer periods of time. He didn't say much in those periods. He stared at Deacon a lot, mostly because he didn't have the energy to speak or growl at him.

Music flowed in from the living room. It helped relax all of us to a certain extent. It was a Beatles' record. I wasn't a big fan, but I really wanted to hear this album today.

"Adisa," I tried to get his attention away from my brother. His eyes flickered back and forth between my brother and I. "Hey." I huffed at him.

It had been a couple days since I had seen Adisa conscious and using his noodle( and by noodle I mean brain). I went from spending most of the day with him to barely seeing him move which was scary in itself. Also, I felt a little guilty. I was the one who took him out on the town when it was cold out and was slow on the intake when he took his coat off. Yeah it was a fun night and no I don't regret it, but I can't help to feel that it was my fault.

"How do you feel?"

"Sleepy.." He blinks a couple times and groans a little. I brushed the strands of hair that were starting to stick to his head. Deacon eyed us for a minute before saying his goodbye. He had to go to work and save some lives.

"He's alive!" Dan bursts through the door and yells. He falls to the ground very dramatically. I laugh at Adisa as he cringes and makes a noise very close to a whine.

"I only sent you to get soup." I sigh.

"Yeah well, I figured that Adisa was bored since he has been cooped up for like forever." Dan motions for us to switch places and I stand up. The chair creaked as Dan took my place and I moved to the other side.

Dan quickly began making airplane noises to feed Adisa his soup. You could tell that Adisa was confused about what Dan was doing, but continued to eat anyway. I watched and smiled at them.

This household was very clearly centered around him. I left the room to get Adisa another ice pack since the one he currently was using was close to boiling.

I knew Dan had a couple of days left before he left on another adventure which was sure to break Adisa's little heart and probably mine too. Dan told me that his next trip was gonna be to southeast Asia for some very exotic feathered friends for the zoo he worked at. Hopefully this time he wouldn't bring back a wild man, but then again, would you really complain. Just imagine two very wild men running around here.

Hell, I definitely wouldn't.

We kind of had three running around anyway with Dan and Deacon coming around. It had been so much testosterone around lately. I sighed again and pressed the frozen ice pack to my own head. All the tussling that happened the day before had worried me enough.

I entered the room again to see that Dan had given up on the airplane noises and Adisa had given up on the soup. Dan sat on the bed next to him. "Dus was hy haar broer?" Adisa spoke in that mysterious language of his. My toes curled onto my carpet.

I guess Lil Georgia wasn't gonna catch a break anytime soon.

Adisa relaxed as I put the ice pack on his forehead. I needed him to hurry up and get better so I could sleep in a comfortable bed again. Unfortunately, I had also gotten used to him sleeping next to me or under me. He was a good pillow and that was a fact.
