Ghost stared out the window of the van. He was doing everything in his power to ignore Gavin, who was being extremely irritating. Gavin wouldn't stop kicking the back of his seat. Ghost was basically just trying to find an excuse to be allowed to hit him. He glanced over at Toast, who had no expression on his face at all. His eyes were glued to the road and that was it. Ghost was impressed at first, but then he remembered that Toast had to live with Gavin when they were younger and that meant that he was most likely used to being irritated by Gavin.
"Would you stop?!" Ghost growled, turning around to face him. Gavin gave him a mischievous smile.
"And why should I?" Gavin asked.
"Because I said so!" Ghost exclaimed angrily. He was about to pull out his knife when Jimmy, of all people, stopped him. Jimmy gave him the excuse that he wanted to be the one to kill him. He hesitantly put the knife away, noticing how smug Gavin looked.
"Jimmy stopped you, huh?" Gavin questioned, smiling.
"You know what? I'm not going to say anything." Ghost muttered, rolling his eyes. He had been surprised about how Gavin knew at first, but then he remembered that Gavin wasn't exactly human... or bright.
"That's a good decision." Toast sighed, pulling into the driveway of their house. The three got out of the van. Ghost was doing his best not to look at the two. Whenever he looked at Gavin he got an insatiable urge to kill. Ghost went up to his room, closing the door behind him. He walked to the bathroom, splashing some water on his face. Ghost knew that he needed to calm down, or things might get out of hand.
"Wow! I've never seen you looking so... murderous!" Jimmy purred, appearing next to him. Ghost looked at him, blinking. He examined Jimmy's face. Ghost didn't know what it was, but Jimmy didn't look as creepy as usual. It was probably just because he was used to the way Jimmy looked by now.
"I'm not murderous... I'm just angry." Ghost grumbled, looking away.
"Right... why were you looking at me so closely?" Jimmy questioned.
"I just thought you looked different. That's all." Ghost sighed, shrugging. Jimmy laughed.
"Well alrighty then! I'm going to go say hi to Gavin!" Jimmy exclaimed, smiling. Ghost grunted in pain as Jimmy quickly took control. Jimmy stretched before walking down the stairs. He spotted Gavin. Jimmy jumped over the side of the railing, landing right next him.
"Oh, hey! Nice entrance." Gavin giggled. Jimmy looked over at Toast, who looked horrified.
"You could've just walked down the stairs you know..." Toast mumbled.
"Nah, jumping is a lot more fun." Jimmy told him, smiling. He turned towards Gavin, who was staring at him. Unblinking. Jimmy was assumed that he was just staring into space.
"So you came down to say hi, huh?" Gavin questioned.
"Yep! I also wanted to know if you would like to go out with me... killing, I mean." Jimmy muttered. Gavin blushed, staring at him with wide eyes.
"Y-yes, of course! Sounds like fun. Um... I'll be back." Gavin mumbled, running up the stairs and into Toast's room. He closed the door behind him. Jimmy stared in confusion, then turning to Toast who looked very amused.
"Why did he run away? Did I scare him or something?"Jimmy asked, frowning. He was genuinely confused. Toast smiled.
"No, you didn't. You probably just said something he didn't expect, I suppose." Toast told him. Jimmy didn't quite understand, but he decided to just accept Toast's answer. For now.
"Well, I'll ask Gavin when he comes back." Jimmy sighed.
"If he comes back!" Toast laughed. Jimmy couldn't help but giggle. Jimmy pulled out his knife, staring at himself in the reflection. Although the blade was tinted red in some areas, he could still see his face clearly. Jimmy noticed that his cheeks had a strange pink hue to them. He whimpered in fear.
"What's wrong with my face?" Jimmy questioned. Toast looked at him.
"I see nothing wrong." Toast told him, frowning.
"B-but, my cheeks are discolored! I'm dying!" Jimmy screeched, flopping on the ground. Toast rolled his eyes.
"You're so dramatic, and no. You can't die twice." Toast mumbled. Jimmy looked up at him. He would have answers no matter what it took. Jimmy stood up, grabbing Toast by the shoulders.
"Tell me what's wrong with me or else!" Jimmy growled. Toast's eyes widened.
"There's nothing wrong with you, I swear!" Toast exclaimed. Jimmy frowned, knowing that was Toast was telling him wasn't the truth. He would have to get the answers by force.
