I shoot up in my bed. All sweaty and panting, I turn myself around to turn on the light.

When I'm aware of the room I am in, I slowly exhale. My lungs stinging, and my head pounding in pain.

I keep redreaming this hellish dream. I don't even know if it's true. It's just placed in my head like a trauma, and I keep re-seeing it.

I walk towards my sink, drinking some water out of it, when I hear the doorbell ring. I shiver as a little breeze tickles my neck.

I walk away from the sink, my heartbeat becoming heavier with every step I take towards the door.

I can hear the thunder far away, rain roughly ticking against the windows.

I let my fingers slide over the doorknob, and take it in my hand, not knowing what was waiting for me outside, I open the door.
