A whole week we all get asked the same question by Kayla. Where's Daddy?

Today is the funeral. Nobody has had the balls to tell her that dad actually passed. Until now.

I'm helping Kayla get ready, since she needs help putting her tights on.

"Why won't anyone tell me where Daddy is?" She sounded frustrated. I had to tell her, but it's going to be hard. I knell to her height.

"Remember how Daddy was sick?" She nodded yes. "Well.. that sickness took him to a place called heaven."

"So..Daddy's not sick anymore?" I felt a tear fall down my cheek.

"No more sickness for Daddy." Kayla hugged me.

"Don't cwy Mak." I held her tight, never wanting to let go. "You still have me."

"Well I've told you, I have to move back in with my mommy. But I promise to come see you everyday! Okay?"

"Okay.. Can I have a kiss?" She puckered her lips.

"Of course!" She sloppily pressed her lips onto mine, and then ran downstairs.

(After the funeral)

Kayla fell asleep in my arms. I could imagine it's really boring for her, she doesn't know what's going on.

Slowly, she opens her eyes, and smiles at me.

"What is that grin for?"

"Daddy isn't hurting anymore!"
