I encircled the last  question on my paper. I looked at Benny to see whether he was finished, but he was still concentrating on his test paper. I smiled. Before, he will secretly plead for answers, kukulitin ako ilang beses but seeing him right now, I think he doesn't need my answers anymore, he can answer it on his own. 

He looked at me and I mouthed 'I'm done.' He was far from me, but still managed to nod his head while smiling and pouting our teacher, and told me to pass first, which I did. I waited for him outside the classroom, and he was the second person to leave.

He excitedly went near me "Ayos! Lahat ng inaral natin, nandoon sa test paper!"

I nodded and tapped his back "How was it? You did well?"

"Oo naman! May onti lang na hindi ko naintindihan pero okay lang, nag ini meany miny mo nalang ako."

I laughed "Good."

"Tara Finn! Kain tayo! Libre ko! Pa-thank you dahil ikaw ang review buddy ko!"

I nodded and place one's arm over his shoulders "Okay, sabi mo eh."

We went to our school canteen and he ordered me my favorite chocolate pudding called champorado. It's so good that I always order it when it's available. He also ordered a puto, a white rice cake with a cheese on top.

"Masarap ba ang luto ngayon Fin at Benny?"

"Opo!" Benny answered and I second the motion while nodding my head "So yummy po."

"Kamukhang kamukha ka talaga ng tatay mo Finn," the tindera said which I shyly bow "Thank you po."

"Tiya, bawal 'ho ang pa-autograph ha. Anak lang po ang kaibigan ko."

"Ito talaga!" Ginulo ng tindera ang buhok ni Benny kaya napangiti ako. He always do that. Interfering whenever people in public recognize my family. He is indeed a friend of mine.

The group of boys who entered the classroom catches my attention. It was from another section. They were Benny's friends. Tumayo si Benny sa upuan niya "Teka lang Fin," at pumunta sa mga pumasok na lalake at bumati. I smiled when he pointed at me but I still continued to eat.

The leader--I don't know if I am right on identifying him, poked Benny's tummy "Lumalaki ata ang tiyan mo! Napapadalas ata ang libre sayo ng kaibigan mo Benny ah."

I saw Benny's reaction when the boy poked his belly. I know it was painful.. yet he's smiling "Hindi naman ano ka ba, libre ko nga iyan ngayon kasi maaga kami natapos sa test."

The five boys attempted to go near me but the tindera asked them on their orders. Benny came back while smiling "Mababait sila wag ka mag alala. Hindi kita pipilitin kung ayaw mo makipag kaibigan sa iba."

"It's okay, I don't mind."

Benny smiled but shook his head "Wag na muna, saka nalang ha?" he gently said, and I nodded with a smile.

He is aware that I do not trust any of our schoolmates. I tried to befriend everyone in class, and while some I consider friends, others merely wanted my stuff, my cash, and to befriend me for a reason... my dad. I also think that I don't need more friends, Benny is enough.
