"Damn am sleepy " Abdulmajeed yawned.

"Didn't you sleep last night?" Mustapha smirked. He was sitting on Majeed's table.

"Wallahi I slept late. I couldn't sleep."

"Ofcourse. You were too busy trying not to sleep." He teased. Abdulmajeed hit him on the head.

"Orishi rishi. It's not what you're thinking. I think I need a very very I mean very dim light. "

"What for?" Mustapha who was rubbing on the spot he was hit asked A.majeed.

"The Queen is scared of the dark. And the king prefers the darkness. So we gotta balance it."

"What are you saying?"

"Something you won't understand." he struck his tongue at his friend.

"So childish." He stood up from the table.

An officer came in and saluted them.

"How did it go?" Mustapha asked him.

"Justice Joseph closed the case."

"I knew this would happen" Abdulmajeed hissed.

"Apparently Minister Tanko is innocent."

"Or he made himself innocent. He made false alibi. Damn it." Abdulmajeed said angrily.

"Its okay. You can leave." Abdulmajeed dismissed the junior officer.

"Now what next?" Mustapha asked after the officer had left.

"We search for more evidence. What has prosecutor Blessing been doing? Anyways she probably feels miserable right now for losing the case."

"Abdul I think you should drop this case. It wasn't yours anyways. You adapted it. Just let Musa Mike take care of it."

He sighed. "I don't know man. But I will think about it. People like Tanko are still walking around freely on earth. Its scary. It boils my blood actually."

"We can't change the world. Atleast not at ones. Slowly. Gradually. With patience." Mustapha tried to convince him.

"True."

They left that topic and continued with their work. Mustapha went back to his office. The duo work at Bureau Of Crime and Corruption Investigation in Nigeria (BOCCIN) branch in Kano. BOCCIN is a commission that combats financial, economical and moral crimes, with a goal to fight curruption in Nigeria. The commission is empowered to prevent, investigate, prosecute and penalize crimes in Nigeria. BOCCIN is a place where police, soldiers, lawyers, doctors, engineers, computer scientist and even translators come together to make a better nation. Most of the workers are recruited. Only a few get to sit for the exams and even few pass to the stage of interview. They have sixteen branches accross the country with the headquarters in Lagos.

Mustapha and Abdulmajeed met in their first year at police Academy. They became best of friends after a huge fight that went down between them in their first year. If you asked them the reason why they fought then they won't even remember cause they have more memories of their friendship than their enmity. Their friendship has been going strong since the day they teamed up and beat their seniors in a football match of 7-2. They've been unstoppable since then, fighting crimes, saving lifes, punishing the evil and being best of friends. They started working in Nigerian Police Force (NPF) before they were reciuted to join the BOCCIN due to their excellent performance in NPF.

"I'm taking my bike home today." Abdulmajeed informed Musty.

"Why all of a sudden?"

"Just.."
