Chapter 33

*Fallacy's POV*

Today I'm taking Encre to the city today, She was so excited it's almost like taking a child to play.

Because she didn't sleep much yesterday, I managed to convince her to sleep on the way and I'll wake her when we arrive.

I got a horse coach for us and she fell asleep the moment the castle is in the distance. I place her head on my lap as a pillow and watches the view as the tall tree waved us goodbye and the repeated sound of the moving coach is like a spell that gets your eye lids heavy.

Sighing at the peaceful moment, I slowly stroke Encre's hair and rest my head on my palm and looks into the distance. Soon, the sound of laughing, cheering and shouting can be heard, I gently shake Encre to wake her to see the view of the carnival.

Her eyes fluttered open, she was a bit embarrassed at where she was sleeping but the sound of the outside took her attention away from me to the view outside the window.

"Wow! It's so pretty!" she said, I personally don't like crowded place but I guess I can endure it for her, I can't really bring myself to tell her that. I wonder why did I suggested this in the first place?

"Fallacy! Look at that! How do they do that?" she pointed to a few trickster with sparking eyes and a bright happy smile.

I laughed a bit as she carry on talking about whatever is outside, soon the coach stopped and we both got off, the moment her foot touches the ground she was a hopping bunny. I couldn't get excited at what is going on around us but she's an exception.

I pull her back by her hand before she start running off.

"Encre, calm down, I wouldn't want you to get lost in this crowd, stay close to me okay?" I said with a smile. She look away, blushing, and nodded, is what happened in the bath house still bothering her? Heh, what did you expect, she's a follower, of course it will bother her.

"Hey, I'm sorry about yesterday, I-"

"Fallacy! Look! It's candy art! Can I go look at it? Please?" she said, I paused what I was about to say.

"Sure, You can have one if you want,"

"Really? You sure it wouldn't be much trouble?"

"Yeah, I insist,"

I guess I was worrying too much.

"Ah! I'm sorry miss, are you okay?" a guard bumped into Encre while she was running. He's just a bit taller then Encre but shorter then me that's for sure, he's wearing a complete silver armour with a few colour of blue in places like the helmet, patterns and such. 

"Oh, I'm okay, thank you for asking, and you?" Encre asked.

"I'm wearing an armour, of course I'll be fine, I'm Azure and you?" the guard smiled and did a little wink, is he flirting with her?

I pull Encre back.

"Come Encre, let us go," I was about to drag her away when she pulled away, I was shocked in a way as she run to talk to that guard. Feeling a sting in my chest, I decided maybe I've been out in the sun for too long and went to find some shade, for some reason, I really don't want to see those two right now.

*Encre's POV*

I talk to Azure, I wonder what's with the outfit. I asked and in return I was asked to keep a secret so I guess I found my new friend. I turn to find Fallacy gone.

"Azure, where's Fallacy?" I asked with a little tremble in my voice.

"Oh, isn't he right-...where did he go?" I started to get a bit worried.
