Chapter 43

*Geno's POV*

Eh...what....what was that?

"Hey! You're not listening!"

My attention was pulled away by the little kid that's running around telling me stories.

"Sorry, I... I don't feel well, can you tell the nurse to send you home please, your parents must be so worried about you," I said as I lay back down into the covers.

"But I'm telling you, you are my mother!" the little kid said.

I give her a blank look.

"Just go outside and go down the stairs on the right, you should meet at least one nurse on the way down," I said and turn my back to her.

"Why wouldn't you believe me?!?" she cried.

I sighed and turn to look at her.

"Because I don't have any children, you must have gone to the wrong time, I don't even know this person you claimed to be your father," I said.

"Eh? This should be the right time tho!" the little kid cried.

I sighed.

"Can you not go back?" I asked, very much fearing the answer.

She shake her head.

"...Alright. You can stay with me but don't say anything about the future and don't interact with people you know like you are familiar," I said.

She tilt her head in confusion.

"Just act like you don't know them, okay? Think of this as a little game!" I said and her eyes lit up and nodded.

"Okay!" she shouted.

I took a deep breath and sighed. It's not that I don't like her, I'm just not good at dealing with kids, beside, if it's the future me. She must have been send her for something stupid.

"Can I still can you mum tho?" she asked with, what I assume, puppy eyes.

There was a long silent and she kept her face the same though out all of it.

I rest my face in both of my hands and nodded slightly, she jump up and down and cheering at the top of her lungs. 

I never really understood why all the room is sound proof but I guess this is one reason.

"Okay! I shall get you some water now!" she said as she ran off.

"Wait!"... She's gone.
I forgot to tell her to only call me mum when we're alone...

Oh well, it's not like there isn't any mother in here so the nurses shouldn't be a problem.

I lay back on my pillow and stare out the window, that kid must have gone to the bottom floor to get water, I don't think she knows that there's one next door.

Encre made the same mistake as well, she was ready to destroy this whole place when she found out. I quietly chuckled to myself, I wonder how she is right now.

... I do wonder what that aching in my chest was earlier... It was... So sudden... I'm not having an episode or anything and the timing is completely off... What was that then?

I close my eyes wanting to get some sleep, I guess I have because I was awaken by a tapping noise later on.

I was startled and look toward the window where the tapping came from.

I was greeted with a huge grin.

I got up and opened the window, he gracefully jump in and stood in front of me with the brightest smile.
