Your POV
You've been laying in bed for an hour now, thinking of something to do today. Wanting to distract yourself; get your mind off Dan. You're like a dog, impatiently awaiting it's owner to come home. Him being gone for only a month is strangely lonely.
There's nothing for you to do. Your job sucks because of Polly who embarrasses or is just plain mean to you at every chance she has. You can't vacuum the flat since you've already done that twice in the past week. You could film a video, but you don't feel inspired.
You're slowly going crazy.
You try to get out of bed, but you quickly flop back down into the mess of sheets. More thoughts flood your mind. Where is Nick? How is Zoe doing? What about Alfie? When is F/N getting home from work? Should you get another job?
That might be the problem. You aren't busy but your mind is. Busy asking questions about nothing and everything at the same time.
Usually, when you're feeling overwhelmed like this, you would stop time to give yourself a moment, or to childishly punch the person that was annoying you. But now, you can't because it would also affect Dan. Has it always affected Dan? Did he think he was dreaming that everything was frozen, when really you paused time and spent an hour stealing donuts from a bakery?
Finally, you get out of bed to prevent your thoughts from running on and on.
-
Around lunchtime, you decide to go to the river. No one ever goes there so it's perfect for some peace and quiet. As you get to the park you realise that it's quieter than usual. There's no wind and not even a sound from the busy streets surrounding you. Everything is silent apart from the leaves and twigs that break underneath your feet.
You exit the tall crowd of trees and reach the bridge. Standing at the bottom with a bright, large bouquet of red roses in hand is Dan. He smirks sweetly and shrugs his shoulders, a few petals fall out from the bouquet and float to the ground. What an adorable idiot.
Your surprise breaks out into a happy smile. Dropping the book in your hands, you run over to Dan and jump into his arms. Whilst chuckling, he takes a few steps back to balance himself. You hug him tightly before edging back and placing your lips on his. You pull away and look into his warm eyes with a coy smile before bringing his lips to yours again. Without parting for a breath, he slowly lets you slip out of his grasp and touch the floor.
What feels like hours is really just seconds, and what feels like sparks mixing with butterflies is really just love.
"What are you doing here?" You beam.
"I just came to buy some roses for myself." He gestures down to them. You playfully shove his shoulder. He chuckles and hands you the bouquet. You take it and instantly bring it to your nose to smell them. "I missed you." He smiles.
"I missed you too, I was honestly going crazy."
"If you were going crazy then I was going insane." He huffs, running his hand through this hair.
"Haven't you always been insane?" You joke and hold the roses in front of your face to protect yourself in case he gets angry.
"Insane for you."
"Oh god." You look away laughing. Dan embraces you, laughing as well. He hesitates for a few seconds, gazing into your eyes. The grin on his face starts to drop, and instead he looks speechless.
"I-" He gets lost again. "I don't what I'd do without you." Taking a deep breath, he gently glides his hand down your arm and intertwines his fingers with yours. "If being apart for half a month drove me mad, I don't want to know what I would be if we weren't together at all." His smile comes back. "I guess what I'm trying to say is, will you be my girlfriend?"
"Yes, of course." You answer and he sweetly lifts you up into the air. You squeal as he spins you around. "Dan, I will murder you if you don't put me down." You slap his back and he follows your orders with a chuckle. His smile doesn't break, even when he begins to speak.
"You're no fun."
"You're stupid."
"That's it." Dan picks you up again and runs to the edge of the bridge. As much as you try to escape and protest, he jumps off and into the luminous water; it's brightness contrasting with the dark trees that surround you. When you both resurface, you splash him in the face and he wraps his arms around your waist, pulling you closer.
"Okay, now you're really stupid." You say wiping your face.
"You're a loser." He grins, knowing that he's annoying you.
"You're a shit head."
"You're my girlfriend."
"You're still a shit head." You mess up his wet brown hair and he pushes you away, laughing.
Hey guys!
I hope you liked this chapter, leave a vote and comment if you did!
I always feel like I say too much in these authors notes, and it's because I really want to talk to you guys about a whole bunch of things. So, I was thinking that I should get an Instagram to update you on everything without posting a bunch of chapters.
It would help me get to know you all better and if you want, get to know me better!
I'm not doing this because I think I'm FamOUs, I would never think that. I just really want to be able to talk to you guys easier because I have a lot to say and I don't want to bother people who don't care.
The account I created is called everythingdil, the name isn't solid yet but that's what it is for now. I hope to see some of you pimps there- okAY IM deACTivATinG NoW.
