Birthday Celebration (part 3) Why Anika left OM

NARRATOR'S P.O.V.

Well Anika went inside the party with everyone else and Shivaay also joined in the party but he was keeping an eye on Anika with the corner of his eyes

Meanwhile, Rohan was introducing her to some of his friends and it turned out Shivaay was actually talking to one of Rohan's friend, Vikram when Rohan brought Anika to meet Vikram Shivaay was facing his back towards them

So when Rohan said to Shivaay "excuse me, Mr. can I borrow Vikram for a sec, I would like to introduce him to someone special"

With that Shivaay turned around and for a and looked at Anika then they both shared an eye lock which was eventually broken by Rohan as he interrupted them because seeing Shivaay he could see many emotions on her face and he knew they her not happy emotions at all, so he said "Thank you Mr.Shivaay Singh Oberoi"

Then Rohan was introducing Anika to Vikram then she was responding to him and after the introduction, Vikram said "Rohan actually I wanted to discuss something with you, can you come aside for a minute, Anika would you mind borrowing him for a minute, cause I wouldn't like to bore you on your birthday"

Anika replied "yes"

And rohan couldn't do anything so replied "I will be back soon"

ANIKA'S P.O.V

As soon as Shivvay turned my I felt as if my heart just skipped a beat

Then we had an eye contact, it was short but it would have been long if Rohan wouldn't have interrupted

I mentally thanked him cause if I would have looked in his eyes for a bit longer then I would have literally cried because no matter what I told infront of every one I loved him from the bottom of my heart but we can't be together because all that matters to him is Naam, khoon and khandaan athough I have all of them today but I don't want him to respect me, love me or honour me just because of a famous name, bloodline and lineage. I want him to love me and respect me because of me and not because of NKK although I was talking to Vikram but at the back of my head I was thinking about Shivaay and all the good times that I had spent with him

But after my conversation ended with Vikram he took Rohan away, I know Rohan wanted to be with me but he couldn't avoid Vikram as Vikram is also a singer and both of them are planning to realese a song together so he had to go with Vikram

When both of them left even I wanted to leave but Shivaay said "Anika" so I faced him and said "Hello Mr. Shivaay Sing Oberoi"

I could see that he was hurt by the way I addressed him but I pretended to not care so he further said "happy birthday Anika"

To which I further replied "thank you Mr.Oberoi"

Then Shivaay asked me "Why did you leave me? How did you become Anika Rajput?"

And all the memory of that day came rushing back to mind

FLASHBACK

Pinky asked her about her surname during the kulgotra puja.

She remembered her days in the Orphanage and a tear trickled down her face. Shivaay told his mother sahil's parent's name and gotra and all the other details

Then Anika said "Shivaay you are telling Sahil's details not mine Sahil's parents adopted me from an orphanage. I don't have any surname or any gotra, I am an orphan."

Then Shivaay became silent

Pinki started "what?? Anika what do you think of yourself chali Oberoi's ki bahu banne?? Naam.. Khoon..khandaan.. ka koi pata toh hai nhi..??"

Shivaay was silent because it was important for him to know about her naam.. khoon.. and khandaan and he just came to know that she doesnot have any of them.

She looked at him.

But he bowed his head down in shame that his wife doesn't have a surname.

Omkara and Rudra were going to say something to Pinky supporting Anika but Anika did not allow them

She looked at Shivaay with her last hope and asked "Apko kuch kehna hai"

Shivaay firmly said "I don't know anything about you Anika."

Then looking towards the Pandit he said "pandit ji yeh puja nhi hogi" with that shivaay left

Anika went to Shivaay and her room and their she let out the tears to flow from her eyes which she somehow managed to control downstairs in front of everyone

she then went to the washroom washed her face and then called shivaay because she saw when he left he was angry so she called him thrice but he didn't pick her phone

She sat on his bed waiting for him to talk to him

It was around midnight he did not come home till then but then Anika saw some shadow coming towards her room she saw the shadow was of Shivaay but when he entered their room she saw he was completely drunk and was unable to walk she went to him and helped him to lay on the bed.

While she was helping him to lie on the bed she heard him murmur "Why??.. Why Anika??... I trusted...you know...I hate... you love...not..Why??"

Anika thought he hated him so she wrote him a letter and packed all her items and left before anybody woke in the Oberoi Mansion.
