"Uh, sir." A droid approached Cad Bane "That Republic ship has destroyed our escort and is blocking our escape,"

"Whoever's commanding that cruiser is a bold one," I smirked only to cry out as the charge in my neck went off.

"Move us out of the battle zone and prepare to jump to hyperspace. I have a small favor to ask our Jedi guest,"

"He won't open that holocron," I told Bane as we walked through the halls.

"He just needs some compelling," he claimed as he brushed a hand across my face.

"Sir. Captain. Sir," Cad Bane turned around as a droid came up to us "They hit the power converters, so we can't go into hyperspace,"

"Hmm, I wonder what the Jedi are planning,"

"Getting worried?" I asked

"No. Just means I need to rush my plans a bit," he walked into the cell where Master Ropal was being held. Cad Bane held the holocron in front of him as a droid electrocuted him. "sImply open this little box of yours so I can get the information from this crystal, and your suffering will come to an end,"

"You will never get me to unlock the holocron," Master Ropal told him.

"Told you," I mumbled only to flinch as he moved his arm containing the controller.

Cad Bane glared at me as he spoke "Unfortunately, I don't have time to discuss this with you." he looked at the droid at the controls "Hit him again--full power,"

"Stop it!" I shouted "he can't take much more of it!" I fell to the floor as Cad Bane hit me across the face.

"Speak out of term again and it'll be the last thing you do," he looked at Master Ropal "More power," my gaze fell to the floor as I sensed his life end, my thoughts proven as I heard the long beep of the heart monitor.

"We've lost all his vital signs," a droid claimed

"Check," a magmaguard went up to Master Ropal and hit him with an electric shock.

"He is no longer functioning,"

"Drop him," I flinched as the body fell to the ground.

A droid walked up to him "He's dead,"

"Looks like we will have to find another Jedi to open this holocron." Cad Bane's gaze met mine "Only next time, I will try a different method,"

"When Darth Sidious asked me to loan you the Federation fleet, he didn't say you were going to war," Nute Gunray said over the hologram "Bane, you have already lost four of my ships. I hope you can pay for all of this,"

"One authentic Jedi holocron and the memory crystal I was after. When my benefactor gets this, he will compensate you for your puny fleet,"

An explosion rocked the ship and I smirked as I looked at Bane "Sounds like the Jedi want it back,"

"The Jedi are overwhelming our vulture droids. Should we send out reinforcements?" A droid asked.

"No," even I couldn't help but look at Bane confused

"What are you doing?" Nute Gunray asked

"Did you say 'no'?" The Droid asked

"Mm-hmm," Cad Bane confirmed

"Roger, roger,"

"The Jedi will board the ship and get the holocron back!" Nute Gunray exclaimed "Transmit the information and close the deal immediately,"
