__________

I went to the workshop today. I decided to move my paintings on our house since the room I was working on was finished. I asked dad to give me that vacant room next to mine so I could place all my work inside. I thought he'd say no but I'm glad he gave it to me.

I designed the room without any help of someone. I only asked help for moving some things but the decorations and paintings on the wall was all my work. So it really took a lot of time for me to finish the room.

Daniel had insisted to help me move the paintings but I wanted to reject his offer. How can he possibly help me with that, it isn't that simple.

I want to avoid dad knowing about Daniel and I but this guy is persistent. Like he doesn't even care if dad would find out about our meetings and all. I ended up obliging on his request or more like his persisting after thinking about it thoroughly. Dad isn't home anyway and mom isn't too since they were out of town.

My father insisted I should come with them but I've got classes so I didn't go. They might stay there until tomorrow since they left a few days ago. My phone rang while I was arranging my paintings. I took it out from my pocket and hit the answer button. "Hello, Daniel?" I asked when he didn't say a thing.

I only hear his breathing as if he was thinking what to say. I called out again. "Saeron, I'm sorry I'll be late. Are you on the workshop already?" He apologized.

"Oh, yeah I just got here don't worry. Take your time." I assured him, lying. I was here for almost an hour waiting for him. I didn't tell him since I don't want to act impatient. Maybe he just lost track of time or he was busy.

"I'll be there shortly, I'm really sorry." He said again then there was a pause on the other line. "It's fine." I answered him so he wouldn't worry about it too much. "I'll hang up now, bye." I added but before he can even speak, there was suddenly voices on the other line that's heard.

I thought he was with someone else but maybe he was with his friends. There was too many voices I couldn't make out but one stood out from the rest. She called out to Daniel which he didn't answer. I'm not sure who it was from.

I waited for him to say bye before ending up the call. "Okay, bye I'll see you later." He finally said so I hung up. I sighed then placed my phone in my bag. I decided to busy myself by taking out all my paintings. The thing that has been bothering me since yesterday was now back.

The thought of his ex lingered in my mind and the voice calling out to him just now didn't help at all. I tried not to think too much about it and just focus on what I'm doing.

I don't think I have the right to be bothered. His ex girlfriend is someone I shouldn't be thinking and their past relationship is something I shouldn't meddle with. It's between the two of them even though that thought gives sickening feeling inside my chest.

An hour passed and there's still no Daniel to be seen. I got bored inside so I decided to go out and visit the café in front. I walked inside and went to the counter to order a milkshake. I decided not to drink coffee for today.

I've been drinking too much coffee lately and I haven't tried other new milkshakes yet. I sat on the corner table of the café when I heard my phone rang. I took it out from my bag and saw Daniel is calling so I picked up.

"Hello?" I asked, my brows furrowed in confusion when I heard his hard breathing over the phone. "Saeron! Where are you?" He asked then I heard his breathing again. He sound like he was running.
