You and I are Unknown

Nobody truly knows me. Nobody truly knows anyone, for that matter.

Whether it be for public reasons (I'm not popular, I don't have many friends, I don't follow social norms, etc.), or it's on that deeper mentality,
You don't know me and I don't know you.

Although many people can confide in each other,
Many,
And oh boy are there many,
Don't tell people everything.
Or they exaggerate the truth a little,
Make things seem better for themselves,
Spread out their qualities so that it seems that they have all great aspects.

It sometimes seems as though we know someone before we are proven that we do not.

They backstab us,
Bring us down,
Do things they've sworn they'd never do;
Hang out with people they said they hated (and never wanted to talk to).
They'd reveal the "rumors" that people spread to make them look bad were actually true;
They'd how their true colors.

As well as having people be unpredictable,
We actually don't have the same perspective as anyone else.
Sure, friends may have been with each other shoulder to shoulder since, like, "forever,"
But our brains do not have that capacity to remember everything that that person has done.
Sure, certain events can stick out more than others,
You may have tried ignoring other circumstances in which that person was terrible,
You might even remember every single event that has happened
But
Your brain does not have the capacity to go through every event at the same time in order to fully put together a correct image of someone;
Their full (entire!!!) personality.

So no, don't tell me that you know me. Especially since I know exactly the things that I haven't told you.
And that you haven't experienced different events, each showing a different side to me.
And that your brain is too small to understand who I really am.

But, God,
If I know that you don't know me and that I don't know you,
But I've had recurring experiences with different people and each time they all had dramatic changes,
Why was I so surprised that you turned out to be this way?
