Undercover

Queen:

I walk downstairs ready for the day. I was thinking about going to the park me and my mom used to always go to together whenever my dad was drunk off of whatever liquor was suitable for that night.
I know from the outside looking in I might seem like a bitch towards my dad but I have my reasons. He may not seem like the monster I portray him to be because he does a damn good job at covering up all of the wrongs he has done and to this day I don't know if he's sorry for what happened to my mom or hundreds of other people but someday everything will come out and I don't want to be there to see it. Despite all this I still love my dad anyway.

"Uh Queen I set up an office at my work place for you if you would come in with me and start recording some tracks like the old days maybe?" He says glancing up at me from his phone.

"Uh sure dad it's just that I haven't sang in a while." I say scratching my arm. When I was younger my dad used to take me into his studio and we'd record songs and stuff.

" Baby girl I know with your voice it'll come easily." He say with his usual warm smile.

" Speaking of the studio when are we going to record my song?" Cassidy asks in a demanding tone. She relays on my dad too much I'd rather my dad have a partner that provides for themselves ya know.

"Cassidy me and Queen have to go, but we'll resume this conversation later. Ok." He says as he grabs his keys and gives her a kiss. I wish a man would treat me like that it would be of with his head.

"Ok." So this is your own personal room with a recording booth I look around and it's really really nice.

"Thanks so much dad."I say hugging him.

"Ok so I just sent you a song you might want to try out." He explains

" I actually wrote a song I think it's more meaningful for me to sing it." I say pulling up the song in my notes.

I look down at my phone and go to my notes. My dad gives me a minute to analyze the lyrics and the way I want to sing it.
