Chapter 11

"Guys, I think Darkrai is gone." Cody said. The group cheered happily. 

"We should check on the people in the building. Darkrai might have harmed them too." Isabelle said.

The trio raced inside. All the people looked like they had just woken up from a bad dream. 

"Are you guys okay? A wild Darkrai just attacked us." Autumn asked.

"That Darkrai wasn't wild," a man with dark glasses stepped forward. Autumn felt like she had seen him before somewhere. "He was from Team Rogue."

The trio gasped. "If that's true, we need to plan our attack, and fast." Officer John stepped up.

"I have delt with Darkrai's before. I got this. Everyone, follow me." The new man spoke. Officer John glared at the strange man before leading the people of the building to the planning room.

"I know a secret entrance we can use. We go through the entrance, while some others enter through the other way, distracting Team Rogue while we deactivate the machine... Oh, you children should just go back to your playing, this is stuff for the adults." The man said like they were babies that had crawled away from their mothers.

Autumn glared and walked back outside along with her friends. "That guys gives me a bad feeling," Autumn stated.

"Me too. I can't believe he threw us out like that." Cody said, crossing his arms across his chest.

"What a jerk," Isabelle finished.

"What do you guys want to do?" Autumn asked. 

"There's a forest not far from here. We could go and hang out there." Cody suggested, throwing a quick glance at Autumn.

"Sure," Isabelle and Autumn said at the same time. They giggled.

"It's this way. Follow me!" Cody called, beginning to walk to the forest.

As they got to the forest, Autumn got an idea.

"I need another pokemon if I want to do gym battles. I think I might just catch one today." Autumn said.

"Okay," Isabelle and Cody said, looking a little sad having her leave.

Autumn smiled and said, "You two can come if you want." 

"Sure!" Cody said. Isabelle nodded.

They ventured deeper and deeper in the forest, until suddenly they heard something. It was coming from the lake in the forest. They looked closer and suddenly, a huge splash of water errupted out of the lake. Autumn pulled out her pokedex.

"Finneon, the Wing Fish pokemon. After long exposure to the sunlight, the patterns on its tail fins shine vividly when darkness arrives." 

"Finneon!"

"Go, Tropius!" Autumn called, pulling out a pokeball. "Tropius, use Razor Leaf!"

Tropius twirled and suddenly, sharp leaves flew and hit the Finneon. 

"Finneon!" It suddenly jumped back underwater before coming up and using Pound. It hit Tropius, but Tropius was strong.

"Tropius, finish it and use Gust!" Tropius jumped up and flapped its wings, creating a wave of air to hit Finneon. 

"Finneon!" Finneon was almost unconscious.

"Go, pokeball!" Autumn called, pulling out a Heal Ball. She threw it at Finneon and watched as it wobbled once, twice, three times!"

The trio cheered. "You should get a fire type next. You'll need it in the Eterna Gym." Cody said.

"Okay, lets go!" Autumn agreed. They raced deeper into the forest.

"Magby, the Live Coal pokemon. Its body temperature is around 1100 degrees F. It is healthy if breathing yellow flames." Cody's pokedex said as they approached a new pokemon.

"Mag-by!" it said. 

"Go, Finneon! Lets see what you can do!" Autumn said. "Use Water Gun!"

Finneon twirled once before shooting a spray of water out of her mouth. Magby managed to dodge it barely.

"Magby!" it said as it used Smog.

The trio coughed as smoke appeared around them. Finneon was coughing the most when suddenly, Magby appeared out of the Smog and used Ember. A flame burst out of its mouth onto Finneon.

"Finn-eon!" Finneon cried.

"Finneon, hang in there! Use Rain Dance!" Autumn said. Finneon focused for a second before it began to pour rain on Magby.

"Mag-by..." It was damaged by the rain and was hiding under a bush.

"Finneon, finish him with Water Gun!" Autumn ordered cheerfully. 

Finneon was about to use Water Gun when Magby jumped up and used Sunny Day. The rain immediately cleared and the sun came out from behind the clouds. Finneon shuddered and her Water Gun was more of just a small splash. 

"Maggg-BY!" Magby jumped up and used Confuse Ray, causing Finneon to stumble for a second. She was confused.

"Oh no! Finneon!" Autumn said, surprised by this Magby's determination. She had to catch it.

"Come on Finneon! Snap out of it! Finneon!" Autumn called. Finneon shook her head and was back, just a little shocked.

"Finneon, use Water Pulse!" Autumn cheered. 

Finneon was quicker this time, and a huge pulse of water splashed onto Magby, making him wobble for a second before fall on the ground.

"Go, pokeball!" Autumn said as she threw a pokeball at the Magby. It hit and wobbled once, twice, and three times! She had caught a Magby! She put Finneon back in her pokeball and into her bag along with her new caught pokemon.

"Did you guys just see that! Finneon was on fire!" Autumn said excitedly, turning around. But no one was there. 

"I'm sure they just went back to the center." Autumn reasoned. "It was a long battle."

The sun was beginning to set as Autumn made her way back to the center. The sky looked like as if someone had taken orange, pink, and yellow and mixed them together in a blender, before pouring it across the sky. It was pretty.

Autumn walked into the center and headed for her new room with the other girl volunteers. It was just her and Isabelle so far in the room. It had multiple bunk-beds and chests to put their stuff. But when Autumn walked in Isabelle wasn't there. Autumn decided to find them tomorrow after her long day. She was fast asleep soon.
