'I didn't get anything for dinner.'

I immediately face plant, my stomach grumbles, 'feed me!' I can just here it internally screaming. Unlocking the front door of my apartment, drowsy eyes fall to to the ground. I sluggishly amble through the door, my hands hide below my soaking jacket, over my chilled fingertips the fabric was far from soft. I toss my keys into the floral patterned sloped plate, accompanied by a few stray key chains from fragmented plastics that were once key rings.

Navigating my worn out body through the hallway into the kitchen of prosperity. I reach up to the top cupboard, standing on my tip toes my arms stretching out in desperation for a nearly out of date pot noodle hidden at the back. Making contact with a cereal box I push it a side, continuing to hunt for that pot noodle. How dramatic. I finally grasp hold of it 'gotcha' I celebrate at this tiny success, drawing my arm back, on the way dislodging other boxes, they react with gravity, colliding with my head. 'Ah-ouch ouch' I grip my head with both hands, cursing slightly under my breath.

After clearing up the mess and pouring hot water in, I decide to have a shower to pass time.

I step into the shower, toes flinching as they touch the chilled marble floor. I turn the dial releasing thousands of lukewarm drops. My eyes fall closed, taking in the sensation of the water on my fur, dripping down by my sides. As my mind fades into dullness and everything is a foggy illusion. The sensation of the steamy water calms me. My eyes flicker open like a camera shutter, wiping the water away. . Closing my eyes once again as the heat soaks into my skin, I lean against the cool tiles as my weak legs threaten to buckle. I find my mind drifting off. I can make out an outlined black figure. A subconscious sigh escapes my lips, an image of a particular red fox officer startles me, my reflexes repel me from tumbling out of the shower, gripping onto the shower curtain I run my paw through my fur.

'Why the hell did I think of him just now? Why is he appearing in my mind?" Beginning to become slightly flustered, I reassure myself it's most likely just a SLIGHT hint of admiration I have towards him... Nothing else.
