Yukimura (SLBP PART 2)

Chapter Four

"Lina chan... I'm going off..." Yukimura told his wife gently as he was met with her back while she laid down facing the wall...

Lina didn't reply as Yukimura sighed and forcefully rolled her over.

He was met with wet brown eyes as she looked up into his baby blue ones...

"I'm sorry..." he whispered as he kissed her forehead.

"He didn't have to call me infertile! Yesterday he said I'm not fit to be the wife of a samurai! Today he called me infertile! What other insults is he going to throw at me next?" Lina sobbed softly as Yukimura felt his heart being torn into pieces seeing his beautiful wife crying...

"Look just give me time... I'll talk to him okay?" he tried to coax his wife but Lina bit her lip and shook her head.

"Don't. He'll just think I'm a whiny wife who only knows how to complain and get fat..."

"Fat? Why ever would you call yourself fat Hime?"

"Because Saizo says I'm fat..." Lina whispered as Yukimura frowned at her, using his thumb to wipe her tears away.

"Hime... Trust me, you are not fat. Don't listen to what nonsense Saizo has to say..."

Lina's lips quivered as she burst into more sobbings.

"I am infertile! I am fat! I am truly not fit to be the wife of a samurai!"

Yukimura slammed his lips onto hers as he kissed her feverishly till she calmed down and wrapped her arms around his neck.

When he pulled back, they were both panting for air...

"I hope that helps..." Yukimura gave his wife a soft smile and Lina smiled back shyly as she nodded her head.

A sharp knock to the door jolted both of them...

"Yukimura... Father has summoned you already. Lord Shingen has already moved out an hour earlier so let's go before you're late." Nobuyuki's voice was heard as Yukimura sighed before standing up.

Lina gave him an encouraging nod as he kissed her forehead one more time before leaving the room.

Yukimura walked with his elder brother to the front gate of the castle. He was met with the three kirigakure ninjas and the Sanada army as well as his father. A horse was waiting for him and he swiftly got on it, turning around to say something to his nii san...

"Don't worry little brother. I'll take care of her." Nobuyuki said before Yukimura can say anything.

"I didn't say anything yet!" he blushed as Nobuyuki smiled.

"I know you love her more than anything else in the world. It's in your eyes little brother."

Yukimura smiled back and was about to answer when his father interrupted their conversation.

"Don't let that woman be the death of you. Yukimura." he spoke coldly. "Remember the ways of the Sanada samurai. Die an honourable death serving Lord Shingen and the Sanada clan. Not because of love for a woman."

"Father, wouldn't you have died for mother if she's still-..." Nobuyuki spoke before Lord Masayuki cut him off.

"Let's go. Lord Shingen will wonder where we are." Lord Masayuki commanded as all the soldiers saluted and followed him.

"Sometimes... you've got to wonder... whether he will still be like this if mother was still alive..." Nobuyuki gave a slight smile as Yukimura sighed shaking his head.

"I don't know how else to talk to him..."

"Well you promised your wife you will talk to him..."

"I know I did but-... Wait. How did you know about that?" Yukimura asked in bewilderment as his blue eyes whipped to his brother's ones. "I was alone in my chamber with Lina chan!"

"Oh well... I heard..."

"What?!" Yukimura yelled as the blush started creeping up his neck, remembering the hot kiss he shared with his wife. "What else did you hear?!?"

"Everything. But I didn't want to interrupt you when I heard silence so I let you guys carry on with whatever you two were doing. But when I heard you asked "I hope that helps..." that's like a signal for me that you guys have already stopped so I knocked." Nobuyuki answered in an earnest tone as Yukimura blushed furiously.

"My god nii san! You should really get a wife for yourself! Stop spying on me already!" Yukimura murmured as Nobuyuki gave him a wry smile.

"For your information, your nii san here is not short of suitors. It's just that I don't have the time to entertain them."

"I hate to end this conversation since Lord Masayuki has already ordered us to follow him but... It hurts to hear you're popular with the ladies... Nobuyuki sama..." Yuki gave him a smirk as Nobuyuki rolled his eyes.

"I already told you Yuki. You're hot but you're not my type."

"Oh and why not?"

"Because you're too bold for my liking."

"As harsh as ever Nobuyuki sama... Why ever do I even try to win your heart?" Yuki pretended to give a sad sigh as Hotaru walked pass them.

"Maybe you should try Lord Date Shigezane nee chan. I heard he's quite a flirt." Hotaru smirked at his elder sister who gave a sly smile.

"Maybe I should..."

"Just be careful you don't end up falling for Katakura Kojuro though." Saizo appeared beside his younger brother as Yukimura frowned.

"Why? What has Kojuro got to do with this?"

"Didn't you know the rumours? All of Lord Shigezane's girlfriends end up being Kojuro sama's lovers. Kojuro sama don't know the women's history though till recently when Lord Masamune let the cat out of the bag during one of their drinking sessions. Apparently Lord Shigezane's women got fed up when he keeps flirting with every single female that he meets so they turn to Kojuro sama for a listening ear. But they never told him the name of their ex-boyfriend though..." Hotaru said with a chuckle as Nobuyuki huffed with a smirk.

"I'm sure it'll take more than that for Yuki to-..."

"Are these two men good-looking?" Yuki's voice cut his sentence off as Nobuyuki's blue eyes snapped to her, staring her down but she didn't seem to notice it.

"Ehhh... Not as handsome as my nii san that's for sure!" Yukimura said proudly as Hotaru rolled his eyes.

"You're just saying that because one of the guys, Kojuro sama, has a crush on your wife before! Not to mention Lord Masamune too!" he snaps as Yukimura snorted.

"No that's not true! Nobuyuki nii san is waaayyyyy more handsome than the Date samurai put together!"

"Guys. If we don't hurry up Lord Masayuki is going to have our heads." Saizo interrupted curtly as they all sighed and looked to Nobuyuki.

"Sorry nii san... We gotta go. We'll catch up with you when we get back okay?"

The three ninjas were out of sight as Nobuyuki suddenly ran up to Yukimura's horse and pulled his sleeve..

"Huh? Nii san?"

"Yukimura... Take care of Yuki for me..." Nobuyuki said softly as Yukimura grinned at his elder brother before nodding his head.
