It was almost sunset when Sasuke finally decided to head back to Ueda castle...
"Lady Lina... I'm sleepy..." Sasuke yawned as Lina's eyes softened and she don't know what made her do it but she felt the urge to carry him...
She bent down a bit and lifted the four nearly five year old boy into her arms...
"Lady Lina!" Sasuke spoke frantically but Lina ruffled his hair as she pressed his head gently onto her shoulders.
"Shh... Sleep Sasuke... You've been a fireball the whole day... You must be tired..."
"But...!"
"No buts!" Lina said firmly as she tightened her hold on the boy. "You may be serving me but you are still a child Sasuke..."
Sasuke yawned and rubbed his eyes and sighed as he relented to Lina's words...
Masamune just watched the whole scene as Lina turned to him...
"I'll carry the plastic bag of toys home... Thank you for your company today Lord Masamune..."
"Lina..." Masamune spoke with a warning tone and Lina sighed.
"Sorry... Masamune.. I'll be heading home now..."
Masamune stared at her with his green eye before walking past her towards Ueda castle.
"I'll walk you home."
Lina's eyes widened as she whirled around to face his back.
"What? No! It'll be too much trouble!"
"Your husband is not even here to walk you home... What kind of husband is he... That Sanada..." Masamune muttered under his breath as Lina bit her lower lip and continued staring at his broad back..
Masamune stopped, turned around and walked back to her.
He suddenly lifted Sasuke out of Lina's arms and carried him instead...
Lina's eyes widened even more.
"Masamune!"
"For a four and a half year old he is heavy... How do you even find the strength to carry him..."
Lina pouted at the one-eyed dragon as she led the way to the castle..
"Hey I'll have you know I'm not all that weak! I may look petite but you can't judge a book by its cover!"
Masamune gave a crooked smile as he followed after Lina, Sasuke sleeping on his shoulder and his other hand holding the plastic bag of toys that Sasuke chose earlier...
