Yukimura's P.O.V.:
"Lord Shingen and Yukimura sama, I found this..." Kansuke spoke as he held out his closed fist.
I quickly held out an open fist and Kansuke placed something in it which increased my panic...
It's Lina chan's sakura hairclip...
I gave her that hairclip...
"Where did you find it?!?" I demanded as Lord Shingen grasped my elbow.
"Yukimura, calm down. Being hasty now is not a good idea!"
"But I-"
"If you can't think straight then I don't think you should be on this mission Yukimura." My father's voice suddenly interrupted me and I whipped my head in his direction.
"What?! I won't hinder the army-"
"You will little lord. You won't heed to any of our strategy plans." Saizo chimed in and I felt my anger rising..
"*sigh* We need to prove to Yukimura our point. Okay Yukimura, if you see enemies surrounding Lina what will you do?" my nii san suddenly voiced out, staring at me with an unreadable face.
My eyes hardened as I stared him back.
"Attack."
"Okay say she is held hostage what would you do?"
"Attack."
From the corner of my eye I saw Yuki crossing her arms and huffing at me.
"She has a blade to her throat and you still insist on attacking?"
"Then what the hell am I supposed to do?! Just stand there and watch her get killed?!?" I yelled to no one in particular.
"How about just trying to save her first instead of going for an attack?" Hotaru suggested with a wry smile and I opened my mouth to protest but...
"Sanada, I also vote you shouldn't be here. You'll just put her life in danger." Masamune spoke as Kojuro and Shigezane stared at me with a sad look but they nodded their heads in agreement nevertheless. "Besides, my falcon just came back with news from Yonezawa castle that my younger brother, Kojirou, is also being currently held hostage. So I won't allow you to do anything rash."
"But attacking is the same as saving her!" I argued back as Saizo suddenly moved in a flash towards me and grabbed my collar, pulling my face close to his.
"No it isn't. It isn't because you'll end up killing Lina and your unborn child. I've never lost my cool before but I've had it with you and your childish petty arguments that you've been having with yourself at times!" Saizo told me calmly but he hissed out the last part...
"My... My what?!?" I yelled in bewilderment as Yuki sighed, glaring at Saizo.
"Saizo! I thought we agreed only Lina sama will break this news to him when she realises it herself!"
Saizo let go of my collar and raked his hand through his hair in frustration as he mumbled an apology to his sister...
"What's going on?!?" my father boomed as he stared Yuki down. "What is it that you Kirigakure siblings have been hiding from us?!?"
Hotaru held up his hands in surrender.
"Hey count me out! I have absolutely no idea Lina hime is pregnant with Yukimura sama's child!"
I gripped my spear in my hands as I asked my next question...
"She just had her menses last month..."
"That was implantation bleeding Yukimura sama." Yuki answered swiftly, causing me to shut my mouth from shock.. "That's why she has been extremely cranky and pissy recently..."
Yuki then turned to Lord Shingen and my father...
"I'm currently polishing my skills on being a medical ninja as well as a poison ninja. I sensed a different chakra within Lady Lina's womb and after few weeks my suspicions that she's pregnant increased so I asked Saizo to feel her abdomen to confirm it. To which he did and he told me there's an uneven chakra there; faint but it's there..."
The other retainers started whispering excitedly at this turn of event...
"So... That means she's been pregnant for a month now? And she doesn't know?" my father asked in a composed voice after taking a deep breath.
"A month and a half to be exact. And yes, she has no idea as of yet.." Yuki informed..
"A month and a half... Are you that dense Sanada Yukimura?" Kojuro's deep voice chided me as my eyes glared at him.
"Your wife is a month and a half pregnant and you have no idea? At all? And to think you've been hurting her feelings by flaunting yours and Akihime's presence before her?" Kojuro added as Masamune gave me a cold look with his green eye...
"I didn't do it on purpose! I'm hurt too when she's talking so pleasantly to you guys! I mean I know it's not her fault but-"
"She's talking to us because it's just polite to do so and we were all friends right from the start. On the other hand you could have grown a spine and some balls and just insist to hell and back that you don't want to take a second wife. Is that so hard to do so?" Masamune answered me instead as I used my other hand which wasn't holding my spear to clench Lina chan's hairclip in my fist...
God...
I hate to admit it but that damn blasted Date is right...
