Yukimura (SLBP PART 2)

Chapter Ten

Lina ran as fast as she could until she bumped into a wall...

Except it wasn't a wall...

The person grabbed both her wrists and straightened her posture.

"Hey-hey little lady. Where are you running off too hmm?" Saizo asked playfully but when his red eyes saw Lina's teary ones, he frowned.

"Hey little lady... What's wrong?" Saizo pressed as he let go of her good wrist and used his thumb to wipe away her tears.

"S-S-Sai-Saizo... Let go of me it hurts..." Lina spluttered as she tried to swallow her sobs and Saizo quickly let her go and studied both her hands...

His frown grew deeper when he saw the bruises...

"Who did this?" Saizo asked as he used a finger to lift Lina's chin to face him.

"No one. I fell." Lina answered quickly but Saizo held his stare.

"Don't lie to Saizo little lady. I can see there are five bruises on your wrist meaning it was done by a hand... Besides, you are crying Lina... I know you... When you fall, you don't cry."

Lina was about to deny his words when Yukimura's voice interrupted them.

"Lina chan! God I was running about the castle looking for you!" Yukimura panted as Saizo took in Lina's reaction the moment they both heard Yukimura's voice...

Lina's body froze at his voice and Saizo clicked his tongue as everything fell into place...

"Tsk... Little lord... Mistreating your wife eh..."

Yukimura glared at the ninja.

"No!"

Saizo slowly pushed Lina to stand behind him as he stared down Yukimura.

"What the hell did you do to her wrist..."

Yukimura's eyes widened as he looked at Lina with a hurt look.

"Lina chan I can't believe you told Saizo about our fight! You know we're husband and wife so some things should be kept secret between us only! Besides you know I didn't mean to do that to you!"

Lina bit her tongue hard till she tasted her own blood.

How could Yukimura think she did all those things that he just mentioned???

"Little lord... I suggest you stop now..."

Yukimura huffed in anger at Saizo.

"You stay out of this! I know you still have a thing for her even though she's married to me!"

"My dear Yukimura... You're right about that one... but... She never told me anything..."

Yukimura blinked in surprised.

"Wha-..."

"I just figured it out on my own little lord... That's where you're wrong..."

"But how did you-..."

"Well... Let's see... She was crying when she bumped into me, she has five finger marks on her wrist, she froze in fear when she heard your voice... What else? Oh..." Saizo narrowed his red eyes. "You said you didn't mean to do THAT to her... I wonder what is this THAT that you speak of..."

Yukimura was stunned for words as Lina took a deep breath and walked slowly towards him.

"Little lady?" Saizo asked in surprised as Lina turned to look at the ninja.

"It's okay Saizo... I'm fine..." she whispered firmly with a small smile, her eyes still puffy and swollen.

She then stood before Yukimura and pulled his sleeve.

"Come... Let's go back to our chamber..."

Yukimura nodded and followed his wife dumbly...

The moment they were in their room, Yukimura asked his wife...

"I-I.... I thought... you weren't gonna... you know..."

"You are still my husband... I don't want to humiliate you further." Lina answered softly as she looked at him. "Sorry for running off and being scared of you..."

Yukimura felt like an asshole right now...

"No Lina chan... I'm... I'm so sorry..." he hung his head as Lina just ruffled his hair.

"It'll take time but... hopefully... I can forget the fear..." Lina gave him a faint smile and went to their bed to lay down as Yukimura clenched his fists in disappointment...
