After a while he pulled back and looked at me in the eye, his eyes were still watery and so were mine.
"Again, I am so so so so so so so sorry..." I took a breath and looked away
"We should go to school" I said wanting nothing more than this conversation to end
"oh right" he said and wrapped his arm around me and started to walk. I stopped and looked at him
"Probably best if we walk separately, I don't need this to start drama" I stated and moved his arm.
"Oh....ya I get it..." I could tell he was hurt but I didn't want to feel bad, if I let myself feel bad then I'd let myself start falling for him, and if that happened then I'd care for him and then he'd either get hurt by my dad or he'll find out about my dad and make things worse, and I don't need any of that right now.
"C'ya" I started to walk away but then stopped and looked back at him "by the way, I appreciate you hanging with Isaiah, it's hard for him to make friends..." he smiled a bit
"no problem, he's super cool, I would have expected that he would have had a bunch of friends...but you know you can always hang with us" Honestly I wish I could hang out with Isaiah more often but if I did that then I'd be putting him in danger also, and I'd die before I let that happen
"I'm busy all the time..." I hated lying, I hated not being able to tell him but that would just make him have more drama in his life.
"ya no I get it, highschool keeps you on your toes..." I smiled a bit and nodded
"well I'll just see ya around" He nodded and I started walking, I turned a corner and looked back to see if he was walking, I could tell he had just started to walk. I absolutely hate seeing the hurt that's on his face right now, but I know there's nothing I can do... when I got to school I heard Hunter's friends talking then yelling at Hunter to hang with them, and of course he did. I didn't dare look back at them, probably would have regretted my decision even more. The bell rang and I went to class, like always I sat in the back then I realized something...no ones even tried to bully me yet. What did aliens come and takeover the school or something?
