Bullied and Saved:chapter 9

     The bell rang to go home and still no one had picked on me all day, I was kinda starting to freak out a little, last time this happened I walked outside and got jumped. I carefully walked out the door and nothing happened. I walked to Isaiah's school to pick him up then we went to a small cafe on the corner and hung out there while we did our homework. He stopped working and looked at me, when i looked up he spoke
     "how did it go with Hunter?" he smiled a bit and I just coughed out a laugh (does that make sense?)
     "don't worry about it, not like its gonna happen again" I said then went back to my homework
     "so it went badly..." as he spoke I heard the disappointment in his voice
     "I didn't say that I just said it's not gonna happen again" he nodded a bit then continued working. After a few minutes someone else walked into the cafe, I didn't really care who it was as long as it wasnt my dad.
     "oh hey Hunter" Isaiah said...shit now what?
     "sup Isaiah" I looked up a little and saw Isaiah look at Hunter's little sister
     "Hey Misty" he smiled and Misty waved
     "wanna go play soccer outside? The parks walking distance from here and all the kids that are there will let us join in" Isaiah looked at me to ask me if he can go
     "is your homework done?" he nodded and I waved him off saying it was okay
     "just meet me back here before it's dark okay" he smiled and put his stuff in his backpack then gave me a hug and grabbed his soccer ball, then they ran out and headed to the park. Leaving me to be alone with Hunter...After a few minutes I could tell he was staring and it got uncomfortable. I had already shifted positions multiple times and didn't want to do it again, so I just looked up at him and gave him the "do you need something" face.
   "Sorry just...it's nothing" he said quickly then looked away. I sighed
   "Look we seriously can't be seen like this"
   "ya I know but I also know that you don't think we should be seen together at all....why do you think that anyway?"
   "Because I know the outcome will be awf-"
   "I'll make sure it won't be, why do you think nobody bothered you today? It's because I told them not to" he cut me off
   "Woah wait, you told people not to mess with me? Oh my gosh Hunter did you even consider what they might be thinking now?!?!"
   "I don't care what they're thinking, I just care about you, and I was the one that started all this shit so I'm gonna be the one to stop it"
    "why? Why do you care so much? Why are you trying this hard? I thought I made it clear, I can't do this!"
    "I care because you're amazing. I'm trying this hard because if I don't I'll regret it and yes you tried to make it clear but it's also clear that you're not okay and it's obvious that no one else will help you so-"
     "How is it obvious no one else will help me? God you really are the stereotypical popular guy! Maybe next time you'll realize you don't know every single thing about a person's life and just stay out of it!!"
