I stretched out like a cat and yawned aloud, my toes curling as I did so. My motions held when I came to realize my house didn't smell like this. Not even the barracks at camp had been this sterile smelling.

My eyes popped open just as it registered that I was falling off the lumpy cot I'd been sleeping on. I yelped as I landed on the cold white ground with a thud!

I winced in embarrassment and pain as I sat up and leaned on the cot for support, my head aching again, but this time worse. Wherever I was, it definitely wasn't home. I held my head as my eyes adjusted to the brightness. 

The lights were too bright. The white of the room was blinding. I squinted as I scanned the room in confusion, noticing there was no door, no windows, and most important, not a bathroom in sight. Everything was moving in slow motion, and I could tell my motions were sluggish at the very least.

One message blared though my mind and startled me awake with alarming clarity: My mom and Nico-mom were going to kill me. Especially after I got suspended for the rest of the school year from the boot camp, and now this.

I wished I had my luggage or my phone so I could contact them... or at least to know how long I've been asleep. Then again, contacting them would just prove Nico right. Even though I really want to go home and see my mom.

Nope.

I was not going to go "running for my daddy every time I got into trouble". I was getting out of this on my own.
