Lisa's pov~

Was I dreaming?

Surely that wasn't Jungkook in front of me?
I rubbed my eyes.

None doing. He still sat there with a stupid grin directed at my mom.

I cleared my throat and they both looked at me at the same time, like puppets.

Did I wake up in a weird alternate universe?

"Oh, look. Ms. Sleepyhead is here. I didn't know I gave birth to a sloth. It's nearly noon, Lisa.", my mom ranted.

Nope. That's the same old lecture every morning.

"I..", I stuttered, still kinda disoriented. "W-What are you doing here?", I asked Jungkook.

He gave me the most adorably cute expression, blinking his eyes in clear confusion.

That's when I realised I had spoken in Thai.

"Lisa. Manners.", mom scolded.

I immediately switched to Korean, repeating my question.

He shrugged nonchalantly. "I had a few days off."

And that was it, that was all the explanation he gave me. I frowned. A part of me wanted to grill him with questions but mostly I just wanted to run into his arms. But I couldn't in front of my mom.

My mom spoke up, flipping the pancakes on the skillet. "I recognised him from internet. He was the one who saved you from the crowd. So when he showed up at the doorstep I couldn't not let him in. He saved my daughter. Plus, I like his group's songs."

She proceeded to sing "Wonhae manhi manhi" in the most ridiculous off tune voice ever.

I died of embarrassment.

Jungkook doubled over laughing. And proceeded to cheer her on with hoots and clapped after her little impromptu performance. She did a bow.

Kill me now.

I hopped on one of the kitchen countertops as mom placed a plate full of buttery pancakes in front of Jungkook.

He smiled his bunny smile. "Thank you, Noona."

I choked on air. Noona?!

"Noona? Really?", I stared at him in disbelief.

Another cute confused expression. "What? She looks like your older sister."

I swear all moms have a radar when they're being complimented or something because the next thing she did was order me in a firm voice, "Translate please."

I did.

And she melted like the butter on top of the pancakes. "Awww. You sweet boy." Turning off the stove, she wiped her hands on a paper towel. "I'll let you two talk."

As she passed by me on her way out she whispered, "This one's a keeper, Lisa. Don't screw it up."

I smiled. "I won't."
