Falling for Him

chapter 26

Brent P.O.V.

As we walked into the mall Sydney gasped. I looked over to where she was staring at and I was schocked. Cameron was walking around and laughing with some girl. I couldn't believe he would do this. Everytime he came over he would not shut up about Ash. Before I could say anything Sydney was walking over to Cam. "How could you! I thought you loved Ash! Why would you cheat on her; she's the best thing that has ever happened to you!" she screamed. Cam looked at the girl and they both started to laugh hard. "Sydney, I would never cheat on Ash. This is my cousin, Veronica. She is visiting form Texas for the week," Cam said still laughing. Sydney looked so embarassed and apologized to Cam. He did not seem mad at all. I walked over and we talked for a few minutes and them him and Veronica walked off.

"So where to first?" I asked Sydney. I hated shopping but I loved spending time with Sydney. "I want to check out Macy's," She said and held my hand as we walked into the store. We walked over to the prom, fancy dress, etc. clothes section and she began to pick out dresses to try on. After about twenty minutes she had five dresses and went into the changing room. I sat on a stool outside of the room waiting for her to come out. She first came out in a stunning pink dress that went down to her ankles. She looked like a super model. She twirled around. "What do you think?" she asked. "Anything looks good on you," I said looking her up and down. She bluhed a little and left to go try on the others. She tried on three other dresses when she came to the last one. When she walke out I was blown away. She was wearing a royal blue strapless dress with sparkly stuff on the top. It came down to her knees and puffed out a little. It complimented her figure well and made her look even better than she already does. "That is the one," I said. "You look amazing," I said and she pecked me on the lips. She changed and looked at the price tag. "It is on sale for thirty dollars," she said happily. We went up to the register and I was going to pay but she was too quick for me. She was already handing the clerk her money before I could get out my wallet. "I was goign to pay," I said. She smiled. "I guess you'll have to be faster next time," she said satisfed that she paid. We walked out of the store and into Forever 21. She got a shoes, earings, and a bracelet. She refused again for me to pay and handed the clerk her money. I really wanted to pay for something because I didn't want her to have to spend all of her money. "Let's go get you a matching tie," Sydney said and we walked into some suit store. She picked out one that matched perfectly with her dress and I finally was able to pay for something.

I excused myself to use the restroom and when I came out Sydney was sitting on a bench playing with the neckalces I got her. I loved seeing her wear them. When she saw me she smiled. She got up and we walked over to an ice cream shop. I bought her a cone and one for me and we sat on a bench and ate them. "Brent, did you ever have real feelings for Sam?" she asked. "No, I was an idiot to ever do what I did. I don't even like her. I love you and your the only one whose ever made me feel this way," I said holding her hand and looking right into her eyes. She then leaned in and gave me a big hug.
We got up and left the mall. As I drove home I couldn't help but think how lucky I was to have a girl like Sydney.
