Niall was keeping a secret. A secret that you so badly wanted to know, but anytime you'd bring up the concept, he'd immediately change the topic and forget the question you had just asked him.

What is your halloween costume?

It was a simple question with an answer that left you thinking. Sure, it was in a way, childish to whine over a costume as an adult, but you and Niall are that way.

Halloween is taken seriously in your household, so the costumes are a must. This year however, Niall decided to keep his costume a secret from you and it was making you insane not knowing what your husband would dress up as.

...Halloween Night

You were getting ready to head out to the Halloween party you were invited to with Niall, who was being extra and changing in another room on the other side of the house.

You were dressing up as Tinkerbell. You had her leafy green dress and a pair of sparkling wings behind you back. Lastly, completing the look with the green flats with the little cotton ball glued to the front. It was cute and simple for tonight.

Finishing the last touches to make sure everything was place, you headed to the living room to wait for Niall to officially come out and show you his secret costume.

"Niall! Are you done?" You asked.

"Almost!" He yelled back.

"Hurry! I want to see this big secret costume of yours." You impatiently waited on the sofa, arms crossed with your eyes staring at the door Niall would eventually come out of.

"Okay, I'm ready, but close your eyes."

"Are you serious? Just let me see." You whined, growing even more impatient.

"Just close them or I won't come out." He taunted.

"Ugh, okay. They're closed." You covered your eyes with the palms of your hands.

You heard the click of the door, and the squeaking of it being wide opened. There were a few foot strips, probably Niall moving closer to where you were.

"You can open your eyes now." Niall spoke.

For effect, you slowly opened your eyes to see Niall dressed up a pirate. A very good looking pirate.

"Oh my-" you were at a loss of words.

This is what he has been hiding, and you were not disappointed. Niall did good, he looks incredible.

"I know!" He laughed. "I look great."

"You look sexy." You truthfully told your husband.

"Likewise, love." He winked.

"How did you manage to pull this off really good because lets be honest, your not the greatest when it comes to organizing and keeping things hidden."

"That's why I had the stuff shipped to the studio instead of the house when I ordered it online. Also, I was watching Pirates of the Caribbean with the guys the other day."

"You're going to win that costume contest."

"That's the plan."

"I'm positive you will."

...

Needless you say, Niall did end up wining the costume contest and received many compliments on his costume.
Throughout the night you couldn't get the thought out of your head that he looked really hot in the outfit, but you couldn't let him know that after his confidence and ego was at an all time high tonight.

You were taking off your makeup in front of the bathroom mirror, when Niall came up behind you, wrapping his arms around your waist and resting his chin on your shoulder.

"Hey, love."

"Hey, captain." You teased. "Anything you need?"

"No, just admiring your beauty."

"Thanks, but I've been admiring you all night." You turned around to look at him.

"Oh, really?" He raised his eyebrow.

"Really." You nodded.

"Mhm. This costume is great." He laughed.

"Very. Makes you look irresistible."

"You're playing with fire, (Y/N)." He teasingly said.

"So? What are you going to do about it, captain?"

"I might have to make you walk the plank, or should I say, my plank."

if you do, are you dressing up ? i lowkey wanted to be hall monitor helen from the brandon rogers video but i realized i have no similar clothes to the character . it was that or a meme . but witch meme ? (that pun . no? okay) anyways hope everyone is doing good .
