"I like this one, it's very...Malachi" Vontez said as he scanned the tux in front of him
I looked at the tux then back at Vontez with an 'are you kidding' look before walking away. This nigga isn't serious.
"I don't understand why you're trying to find something to wear to your wedding, which is in four days, now. Shouldn't you have been done that, I'm pretty sure Deivys has his suit already" He said while following behind me
"are you kidding? That nigga had his suit the day he proposed, a nigga was feening to get married. me on the other hand I just wanted to wing it. He won't even let me see his suit, he only told me it was blue. I wanna stay traditional and get white"
"so unorganized" He joked
"issa fact. ugh I just remembered, we're supposed to have lunch with his parents. shit I don't have anyone to watch Micaiah and I already fired the babysitter" I sighed
"nigga so what am I, chop liver? you know I'll watch them"
"oh. I just thought you'd have something to do"
"nah it's fine, I ain't getting no action these days. babysitting is the closest fun I have now" He laughed
"nigga you better not be raping my kids. anyways let's get out of here there's nothing I like" I said while walking towards the door
"wait...Malachi" He said grabbing my arm just as I walked outside the store
"yeah, wuddup?" I asked while facing him
He shoved his hands in his pockets and started to look at the ground in a nervous way. In all the time I've spent with Vontez he's never been nervous around me, I mean he wasn't super comfortable around me at first but never nervous. That made me kind of nervous about what he's gonna say. I hope he doesn't decide to profess his love for me literally days before I'm about to get married because that's just gonna fuck my head up.
"you alright?" I asked putting my hand on his shoulder
"yeah it's just umm...you know I care about you right. you and the kids?"
"yeah of course, what would make you think otherwise?"
"and you know I would do anything in the world to protect you guys and make sure no harm comes your way" He said finally looking up at me
