I saw how this Vhong roamed around his eyes on me, but not in a meaningful way, kung baga nag-oobserve lng siya sa akin. He smiled at me then his smile grew wider when he shifted his glance at Vice who is standing a few inches beside me.
"Brad, so these are the paper works ehh?" Sabi nitong si Vhong tapos tumingin ulit sa akin na may ibig pakasabihin. Ano ba kasi ang gustong iparating ng lalakeng ito na idinadaan sa ngiti ang lahat?
"You and your big mouth." Vice said then he face me. "Vhong, this is Ana Karylle, Anne's friend."
"Please to meet you Anna Karylle." Nakangiti ito habang nakalahad ang kamay, tinanggap ko naman kaagad.
"K nalang itawag mo sa akin Vhong, masyadong mahaba yang Anna Karylle ko eh."
"Haha sige sige, K." Vhong said. He flash a vibrant smile unto me then I feel at ease to him, yun bang magaan na agad ang loob ko sa kanya. Maybe because he is a natural charmer, o baka dahil talagang mabait lang ang aura niya. Atleast, he acts normal compared to Vice.
"Shower ka muna sa taas K then rest for a while. We will get back to Anne as soon as we'll finish here." He ordered and I did as I am told. Nginitian ko na muna silang dalawa ni Vhong at dali dali na akong umakyat sa hagdanan where my room is.
General POV
"Doon tayo sa study ko Navarro." He said while tapping the back of his friend and they headed for the study room.
Vice and Vhong crossed their paths back when Vice consulted a Psychologists which, in the end became his friend. Nagkataon kasi na si Dr. Bobet Vidanes- Vice Psychologists and he considered his second father, ay may pamangkin na lawyer, ito nga si Vhong. Tapos nakilala niya na si Vhong dahil sa mga sessions nila, minsan ay nandoon ito. Besides Karylle, only Vhong and Dr. Bobet knows about his secret.
When they are on the study room, naupo silang dalawa sa couch na sinadya para sa dalawang tao, magkaharap silang dalawa ni Vhong.
"Nga pala Brad, I also want you to sign the increase of the employees effective May 14, 2014, in case you forgot. I know it is beyond my job description pero baka lang daw kasi makalimutan mo sabi ni Liz." Vhong started a conversation. Kanina pa kasi nito pansin na balisa ang kaibigan.
"Yup she is bugging me on my email weeks ago. Marami lang iniisip Brad." Vice said, the formality between them while on the phone died down.
"Uy Brad, sino yung Karylle?" Umaura ito ng upo.
"Sinabi ko naman kanina na kaibigan ni Anne, hindi ba?" Tiningnan niya ng saglit si Vhong saka ibinalik ang atensiyon sa mga papeles. Well, the perks of being the boss, pirma dio, pirma doon, lakad dito, lakad doon, isama pa ang magkabilaang meetings at business trips. So Vice is a very busy man, take note!
"Kung kaibigan ni Anne, eh ano mo?"
"Navarro you talk exactly like my sister." Vice smile as he shook his head in disbelief.
"Wow! May pa smile smile ka ng nalalaman Viceral ha. Umamin ka nga sa akin."
"Kailan ba ako nag lihim sa'yo?"
"So ano nga, syota mo ba siya? Mala anghel ang itsura ah." Vhong teased, tapos ay naging seryoso ulit si Vice, nawala na ang nakapagkit na ngiti nito kani-kanina lang.
"You know I don't do girlfriends...I can't..." He sigh, then he started to sign the papers. Naawa man si Vhong, hindi na siya makikipag talo pa.
"Nasaan na si Annie? I miss your bratty sister."
